Not his kid unless this article is wrong or fails to mention him:

Because he's a 2017 prospect? From Maryland? And he's smaller than me?

Shall we go over the things he's better than you at?

I do see we are on Toneil Carter hard from Houston (much closer) and he is ranked #3. Could be just more secure with the feeling they get from him and they much prefer his style?

I don't know, LSU tends to not waste time with just offering everybody, but being a big time rb and son of a former Tiger great you'd figure they'd go after him?

None of the top programs on McFarland Jr are close to Maryland.. That is kind of irrelevant given LSU recruits pretty nationally. Perhaps they just don't care for the height and prefer other elite athletes for the type of role he would play here at LSU given his size. He does seem fast and shifty, but perhaps LSU gauges the talent he plays against differently than the rest..

Booger is only 37years old... If this was his kid, then he had him while at LSU. And I don't think he had a kid while at LSU... Could be wrong though

But I don't think it's his kid.

Yeah, that makes more sense.

Nothing shows up connecting the two.

If he was his son, he would be interested in LSU.

This explains it.

Yep...

And let's be honest, if Booger has a son that was a 5* RB recruit we would have heard about him long before now.

I did extensive looking into it on the sec recruiting thread and could find nothing connecting the two either. Think the name is just a coincidence.

Says jr talked to his father but makes no mention of him as a former NFL guy etc.

Send "Booger" up to talk to him anyway. He could tell Anthony, "If I had a son he would look just like you".

NOT Booger's son

I saw this profile the other day and thought the same thing originally. Pretty easy to make that mistake.

Over/under on these posts until he commits?

Serious answer, Booger's sister was pretty tall and a basketball player, so his daughter may be a prospect down the road.

This got me thinking, how long before kids start legally changing their names to get more initial looks from schools. Think about it, as a coach which name would jump out as a qb prospect?, Reginald featherbottem III, or Payton manning jr?
