Amazing how early they release these things now. I don't know how much meaning these rankings have at this point.

The following Louisiana guys or commits are ranked

4. Ishmael Sopsher, DT Amite
19. Devonta Lee, WR Amite
33. Maurice Hampton, CB Memphis (LSU Commit, also a heck of a baseball player)
61. Trey Palmer, WR Kentwood
96. Derek Stingley, Dunham School/Baton Rouge (LSU Commit)

All this shows is we need to hire Sam Petitto from Alabama or else we're going to lose more than just Devonta Smith to them over the next few years.

Did Al Jones help us get Al Woods? I think you have your answer.

ETA: The answer is yes for those that didn't know.

Really, really good chance a lot of those names aren't on that list when the final rankings come out in February of 2019

Has Devonta Smith committed to Bama or are you just assuming that that will happen?

I'm pretty sure we've already made Devonta Lee a priority for that class. I think we were his first offer. We'll see how much weight that holds. Don't really know about the other two.

Right now the combined prospect ranking between football and baseball for Hampton is 36.

Wherever Petitto is the Amite kids will follow. Just the way it is. It's going to take some monumental things for us to land Smith without hiring Petitto. Remember, we werent even in Smith's top schools list until recently, and i think he's just leaving the door open if we make a move on Petitto.

Pretty sure his first offer was Arkansas, not to say he isn't a priority, just recall hearing that.

The door is open because of Craig more than anything else

A few years ago, the 2017 rankings would just be coming out now.

Trey Palmer is really high on LSU.

And they need to go ahead and offer Noah Cain.

Not saying we get him but Kayvon Thibodeaux obviously has Louisiana roots in him. I wonder if BeBe can go out to his old stomping grounds and real this kid in back to his roots!!!!
