Agreed on Savion. He'll start out in that honey badger role then slide back to safety. Greedy, Fulton, and Mullen are our corners for this class
Can Lewis looks like a solid option, but doubt he plays early. Monroe is a beast and will play early IMO. We need some safeties who will be ready to play because after Adams moves on we will be pretty thin. I'm sure this is being sold to Anderson but Chattman being out of the picture helps clear that up just a little bit more

Hate to turn this into a D Anderson thread but I have always thought we were in a great position going back to junior day. He said Les is his main recruiter. That says a lot.
But I don't think he has ever saw chatman as a depth concern. I think plan from day one was for Chatmna to play OLB but now we are gettin some size with Anthony and Roddy at ends with possibly Davis and Manuel. He is not a natural fit anywhere. Chatmna is the only recruit that doesn't fit what the coaches look to be doing.
We appear to plan on running some hybrid defense that is going to require a lot of different body types and positions and chatman fits none. His only hope is to either get big fast or learn to cover

I still think 3 or 4 guys who aren't even on the radar end up in the class. I had never heard of Coxie before Jimmys class prediction and I waste way too much time following this stuff.

This is very disappointing as Chattman was supposed to be that major upside recruit that Kevin Steele got. It was his first he landed.

People are speculating that since he was not that impressive at the camp last week, we'll cut ties somehow to pick up someone rated higher on the board.

I haven't seen the kid play, but he seems to be a bit of a mystery on where he fits on this defense.

Yea.. I appreciate the info cousin. Well I feel like this class will be a elite class. There are so many good players in 2016 class

its just speculation at the moment, but it does seem to happen every year
a borderline guy commits early, doesn't perform at camps and/or senior year, then gets asked to look around

Who knows at this point...I believe the fans starting speculating this and then everyone ran with it. I wouldn't put any stock into it until Sonny, Shea, or Jimmy reports it.

I think we all know he was never an "LSU Caliber" DB from the get geaux. Probably a great DB fit for another school, but LSU just simply recruits the best of the best DB's. The concern is that he is not bulking up enough yet and still weighs 175 lbs, so wont even be a good fit at OLB. He is a great athlete though, so there is time, but he is behind the curb.
Not to mention this recruiting class is possibly the best ever. Could have made it in last years class.
