Team Gaytorhater703 supp pick #2 Blake Dunn, ATH Western Michigan

DB – Blake Dunn, Saugatuck (Mich.), 5-11, 180, Sr.
DB – Blake Dunn, Saugatuck (Mich.), 5-11, 180, Sr.A Division 7 All-state player, Dunn led Saugatuck to a 10-1 record by doing a little bit of everything. He threw for 751 yards and 12 touchdowns, and rushed for 1,981 yards and 34 touchdowns. He also had 64 tackles on defense with seven interceptions. He had two interception returns for touchdowns, a touchdown catch, a punt return for a score and four kickoff returns for touchdowns. Finished with 65 kicking points and 323 total points.

Blake Dunn stars in not one, two or three, but four high school sports. “I don’t know which one's my best sport," says Dunn. "I just go out there and try to do the best I can in all four of them and help my team.”
The latest instance of doing that was at this past weekend’s state track and field finals.

“We always say if you get to 40 points at state finals, you got a chance to win and we’re halfway there with one guy," explained Bauer.

Blake helped lead Saugatuck to a third straight team title, winning the 110 meter hurdles and 300 meter hurdles, while setting state meet records in both. But, it’s not just track that Blake is setting records in. In football he finished first team all-state, after re-writing the schools record book with almost 2,800 rushing yards and 54 total touchdowns as a quarterback.

“He’s so fast," explained teammate Peyton Scogin. "When we get a really good block on someone he’s gone.”

He was first team all-state in basketball, scoring a school record 51 points in one game. He's a first team all-state baseball player committed to Western Michigan as an ace pitcher, while currently holding the best batting average in state history. Blake has been like Superman for Saugatuck athletics, especially when, as a freshman, he participated in a track meet and baseball game at the same time.

-Rocky Lombardi, QB, Michigan State
All state wrestler from Iowa, the depth chart isn't too competitive and a school with a good QB History as of late. Hope he can turn into a heck of a player when he has full focus on one sport.

-Jon Van Diest, LB, Colorado
Its nice when you can pick up an Under Armour All-American in the sup. rounds and also a 4 star prospect by 247. I would actually replace him with my other MLB pick in colin schooler when I found out he was moving inside instead of playing as a rush end. He's listed as a DE

Was considering taking Van Diest with my last olb spot. So I'll take

Brenden Jaimes, OT, Nebraska and
Judd Erickson, QB. Kid was a 4 star prospect and his only offer is to play lacrosse at Air Force.

Nice pick, was scheduled to pick Bell with my first go round of supplemental but couldn't pass up Dunns story. Was hoping Bell fell back to me.

I was looking at Dunn but everything I read said he was playing baseball at WMU.

I gave him a super long look. He's got incredible weight room numbers but the athleticism doesn't show up in highlights and he doesn't play another sport either. Did you find the same things?

Yea took a flyer...that's certainly a risk. If he gets drafted in baseball I will count that to my stats :-)

First Supplemental Round - Team FibonacciSquared selects:

Not Kyree Campbell...

1) Kaegun Williams - RB - San Diego State

Got rated as an all purpose back (#6 composite), but his film shows an ability to run between the tackles pretty damn well. So much effort on every play... always looking to extend the play and evade tacklers. Had offers from Cal, Colorado, and Tennessee, but decided to become an Aztec. Those guys know a little something about getting value out of underrated recruits.

2) Morgan Ellison - RB - Indiana

I could do a write up on the kid, but why not let him tell you himself. One Classy Commitment Video

Health could certainly be a consideration given the circumstances, but I don't weight bone breaks the same way I might recurring soft tissue damage like for knees. His footage from his senior season is pretty damn electric.

Indiana has quietly been producing some elite RBs in the last few years with Tevin Coleman showing up well for the Falcons, Jordan Howard with the Bears, and Devine Redding going to the draft this year. I think Ellison might be able to make a case for early playing time in the wake of Redding leaving, as their existing backfield depth isn't exactly stacked. They brought a couple of slightly higher rated athletes but I believe they are destined for WR and SS respectively. One other RB in this class, but more of a project/scat back kind of kid he looks like.

No g. He's a stud was rated as a top 10 QB nationally but has been Injured his Junior and senior seasons. I think he's got the highest upside of any QB in the class but the odds of him reaching it are very slim he's barely played football the past 2 years
