How is the QB from Warren Easton in New Orleans doing at CB?

Deshawn Capers-Smith is battling with former 5 star and UCLA transfer Priest Willis for the left corner spot. He's a good athlete but they say he lacks top end speed. Heady player, though. Appears Willis didn't warrant the hype out of high school, but he held the edge over DCS coming out of spring ball. DCS will play this year, just not sure how much.

Unrelated note, but we expect TD Moton on campus in time for August training camp. Kid showed such perserverance in his quest to qualify. Took the ACT at least three times, falling one point shy I believe twice. Maintained a positive attitude throughout the entire process. He won't be in playing shape after taking a year off, but I'm really pulling for this kid, not just because he's an aggie -- guy deserves some success for all his hard work.

Ah, good times on the recruiting board. I remember there was some creeper who was emailing his dad on Facebook about the benefits of attending LSU. This board was pretty disappointed when he chose UCLA.

There was a time when many on this board were convinced he was a future 5 star, can't miss prospect. He committed to Mississippi State out of the blue as a junior I believe (I just noticed I keep repeating this, just covering my arse if I misremembered I guess) and this board was pretty confident LSU or Bama would flip him. Glad to hear he's persevered, and I hope he contributes.

Just reminiscing about the good ole days.

the whole TD Moton recruiting situation is strange. Played at 3 different HS's in 3 yrs : Parkway, Calvary, and Woodlawn. Committed to MSU early on, de-committed, then committed to ALA, de-committed, flirted with LSU, re-committed and signed with MSU, released from his LOI due to academics, sits out 1 year, then eventually signs with A&M.

Moton will be an extra body to rotate in for A&M's D-line. I too wish him well but not when he plays LSU.

Cliff missed an awesome chance to be a good shooting guard.
