I may have to find a different route. HWY 20 in back Vacherie is closed before HWY 3127.

Hahahahahahaha. Actually my co worker that stayed said the roof was messed up really bad. So if it didn't flood from the surge, it did get heavy water damage. Part of the roof was blown off around 9:00 am yesterday. That's a TON of rain

Do you have a Facebook page? If so, the St John the Baptist parish page has a list of all the subdivisions that were flooded. The ones I know of were Riverlands and a lot off of 51. Some of Belle Terre.

My mom and sisters live in Montegue subdivision (if you go down walnut from Airline, directly across from the cane fields on the opposite side). She wasn't even aware of the ridiculous flooding. They are high and dry, no damage, no power.

Just talked to my in laws in The Links in Belle Terre. He said they didn't get water in the house and most of the houses in that subdivision didnt get water. He did say that most of the houses about 4-5 streets behind them closer to I-10 an 51 have water in them. FIL said they lost a lot of shingles and the roof is leaking in the house, but no flood water.

Father in law said Indigo has water in it. Not sure how much, but definitely has water in it.

I am guessing either the news got it wrong or inspection

I was told early this morning by someone close to the situation that the national guard has it taken care of and had a surplus of boats to get people out
