News said that the newly renovated area was fine but the older area had 4 feet of water in it.

We just finally got in touch with some family who lived in Laplace and had to get out once the water was waist deep. They are bussing stranded people to Alexandria.

Dafaq? So they are going to drive through the remainder of the storm to put these people back in it's path?

Thanks. Know some people on Bienville that are stranded. Planning on heading to Laplace tomorrow to get them.

Wouldn't be overly surprising.

Not terribly familiar with the area... Checking on someone's house near Esplande and Frisco. Any ideas? If bad, any estimates of how much water?

You mean in a boat? If you have a boat can you please start with the humans? I just cried reading the St. John the Baptist Sheriffs parish office's Facebook page. People are posting family members addresses so they can be rescued from their attics.

I called st Charles eoc, but they turned down my help. I called st John pd I think it was, the women sounded very stressed out and desperate so I'm going to help them out. She said everything was suspended tonight but I'm going to head out early tomorrow and help. Idc If they say they don't need help, bc obviously they do. I know I would want help if I was in their situation. So I will do everything in my power. My brother is a national guard soldier but was not called into action. He really wants to help as well bc he feels it's his duty. He will be coming with me.

Anyone know a map that shows which parts of Laplace are flooded. My fiance's grandfather is there and late this afternoon they weren't even close to flooded. Haven't been able to get a phone call in since.

Thank you so much. You're amazing. I don't even know anyone there but I feel for these people. So many haven't heard from their families.

I wish I had a boat...I'd be down there at first light.

Let me know if I can help anyone out.
