I'm out of the country with no good access to coverage.

What areas have been most devastated, and how (i.e. flooding from rains? Storm surge? Wind? Etc?)?

How's NOLA? How's Grand Isle? How's the Northshore? How's Baton Rouge?

I'd really appreciate it

Plaquemines Parish, Laplace, and Northshore suffered lots of flooding. Widespread power outages all over, mostly still out.

Baton Rouge seems alright for the most part, a lot of power out still, that includes a lot of stoplights.

Wind, rain, beer, power outages, power restoration, beer, rain, power outages, wind, beer, rain, power restoration, beer.

All joking aside, I hope everybody is safe!!

a dam seems 50/50 whether it can hold on a river in Mississippi that runs into Louisiana. Towns down river are being evacuated.
Mississippi had the most rain. 19 inches in one area.

Madisonville had flooding. However, my friend in Mandeville said there were no problems in his area, so I don't know how widespread the flooding was in the Northshore.

As expected, Plaquemines Parish got a lot of destruction.

For Southeast Baton Rouge, the wind damage was not comparable to Gustav. It was much less powerful for the area, and almost all DEMCO customers have power back already in the Southeast part of town.

Seems like Central got some serious damage though.

All the usual suspects are fine with the exception of Plaquemines Parish which took it on the chin again. The La Place area got the big surprise smackdown.

NOLA missed it but still looting occurs. Surrounding area got rain pretty bad and flooded like crazy. Baton Rouge partied for a lesser form of Gustave. And North Louisiana seems to think a TS is the same as a hurricane so they're prepping for "hurricane" parties as well.

Shreveport made all the kids stay home from school for 2 days for .25" of rain. Alot of parents were pissed off.
