Just soak the stone walls and aggregate then pressure wash it a could hours later?

What's the best technique here. Talk to my like I'm 7.

Mix Jomax bleach and water per label instructions, spray on walls and anything else (they say to wet surfaces and plants first, I never do and have had no problems) you will see the mildew etc melt as you spray, no need to wait for hours , I do one section of the house at a time and by the time I finish spraying I start with the pressure washer and it comes off with little to no effort

For low stuff I mix per label and do like the above poster mentioned. For higher stuff I can’t get to I mix just the Jomax and bleach in a bucket and use the suction on my pressure washer to spray it up in the eaves then rinse.

Jomax settles and must be stired or shaken first.

I try to wash off while still wet.

Have you had any problems with your pressure washer pump after running bleach through it? I have always heard it will tear up the pump???

I run it separately.

I think the pro level pumps can handle it but it’s not worth the risk and I don’t trust the entry/mid level pumps to hold up.

Thanks everyone

It was like chicken falling off a bone. I had about 50' of wall and 30-40 pavers and after spraying it all down it came right off.

My injector is after the pump. I run it on no pressure with a straight nozzle and that’s enough to get it up into the high eaves.

Read the instructions on the label. Stuff doesn't need to sit very long, do not let it dry, I never used a pressure washer with Jomax as it did fine just rinsed off with a regular garden hose and nozzle.

i mixed up a 2 gallon batch and i had *ALOT* of ground to cover (see below). The wall was BLACK. it had never been cleaned since it was built 40 years ago. regular hose wouldn't have done the trick; i still needed the pressure washer to get it clean. The aggregate patio, stepping stones, that stone edging, the mortar on top of the wall was SOLID BLACK, the stones are still a little dark but about 95% better than they were before i started.

i ran out of time and jomax; i will still need to finish the other direction of the wall; almost as long as this one.

I use pool supplies instead of bleach. Much stronger and cheaper. I also don't use a pressure washer. Just my sprayer. I will just wash off if you leave it long enough.

If you need a pressure washer, you may need stronger bleach.

There was another thread on this a while back. One responder said he uses 2 1/2 cups of bleach and 3/4 cup of jomax in a gallon of water that was very effective.

What I do in some spots (roof of porch) is after rinsing with a power washer - spray on Wet & Forget and leave it on to help stop the mold from coming back. But with the W&F, you need to be careful around plants (or wet them first) because it will discolor them.

I have limewashed white/gray brick and there’s a couple corners that get little to no sunlight so I have to jomax every 6 months or so.

The first time I did it I was shocked- it was like I was painting over the green with white paint out of the sprayer. Home Depot hand pump sprayer and jomax mixed with bleach to label specs and rinsed with a hose. Works perfectly every time.

I have found that it’s best to pressure was within 10 minutes of applying the Jomax bleach recipe. Otherwise if you are washing vinyl siding it seems the jomax will yellow it some and require additional washing to get it back to pure white.

i have a garden window that still has some stubborn algae stains; is jomax safe for glass? i wasn't planning to pressure wash (too scared i'll crack the double-pane seals); was just going to hose it off afterwards.

this will also give me a chance to see how it works with just a sprayer hose instead of pressure washer.

i have gutter stains/algae as well that needs cleaning.
