This is the reason I opted for the TC5. It was the closest thing to the 38 year old Maytag I was replacing.

Just talked with Kathy, they sell the TC5. The difference: The TC is the classic no lid lock transmission fills with water. A more aggressive wash but like they used to work in the day.

Couple short videos on the difference between SQ TR vs TC series.

If anyone is in need of appliances, Kathy handles all my building accounts. A very knowledgeable Lady. Best to call and make an appointment, you can walk-in, but best to make an appointment. You can reach her at Stanton’s (225) 275-6220. They also have a great service and parts department. Tell her LSUDad sent you.

I beg to differ. They supplied all my appliances for my new house through my builder. One year after being in my house my wine cooler control panel went out. They told me that they didn't have a service tech for my area so I would have to call the mfg to see if they had some in Ascension parish that I could call. Stanton's will never get another dime of my money.

Sorry to hear, I’ve never had a complaint. Same with houses built and flipped. But that’s me.

Who’s the LG/Samsung salesman downvoting all these posts?

TC5 owner here. 0 complaints. Great machine.

I noticed the same - someone doesn’t like SQ.

My Whirlpool Cabrio dryer died yesterday (got 10 years out of it so not disappointed) so bought the SQ DR5 (gas) dryer yesterday to go with my TR5 - matching pair looks so much better.

Had gas dryers in the past and liked them, Cabrio was electric heating, so now should be able to dry clothes with a multi-day hurricane power outage with my portable generator as that wasn’t possible in the past.

Agree.

I needed a part for a friends LG machine, called Kathy, she said, we don’t carry LG. I told her, you could make a bundle selling just parts.

My friends LG washer makes more noise than their TV. What a POS.

Bought ours at Stantons early 2016. It is the only thing that flooded that we cleaned, dried, and kept after the flood. Stantons service came out and serviced it and it has worked like a champ ever since. We did buy a new dryer though because water was in drum. Have been pleased with SQ.

Ended up getting the TR5 from Stanton’s. Kathy was great and also will be using her for a kitchen project. Very quiet machine that has done well with cleaning our clothes. Thanks again for the input.

Talked with Kathy the other day. We were discussing, when the Mom and Dad dies, the kids fight over the Speed Queen Appliances.

My SQ washer was not cleaning as well so I replaced the belt after 8 years, cleans like new and only took 10 min.

I’ll never have another washer/dryer at my house.
