Need a new washing machine. Want a speed queen TR5 but am having trouble finding one. I can find a TR7 and TR3 but not a TR5. Any recommendations are appreciated.

Try Southern Pipe and Supply. I got a Speed Queen from them 2 years ago and it’s an ace.Not sure of the model, but they will order one for you. Wait times are months right now though.
Good folks too.

Bought a TR7 from Stanton's about a year ago. Took several weeks to deliver, but we've had no issues with it, and wash 10-12 loads a week.

I have the TR7 which comes with a 7-year warranty. I bought mine from Graugnard Inc. in Donaldsonville. They will match any online price and deliver to Baton Rouge area.

In BTR, call Kathy at Stanton’s. I talked with her tonight about a cooktop for a friend.

I would go with the TC5 myself. We got a TR5 in 2017 and it just does not clean clothes well if you don't use the auto fill option.

I need a new washing machine also. Is Speed Queen a good brand? I've never heard of it before. Thanks.

This is what I have and it’s been great. 2 years now without any issues.

Yes. It is the best for a reason. It’s built commercial quality, go see them in person. You can’t lift it compared to other units. Its duty cycle tested to a 20 year duty. It has a smaller capacity 3.5 cuft, but you can use the whole drum. Other units advertised at 4.3 cuft etc. state to not fill over 70% capacity…what’s the point. It’s also a faster cycle time, so you can technically wash a lot of cloths in a time period.

Also per the above poster about the TC5, they did a Redesign around that time, so not really accurate.

We’ve had the tR7 for 6 months. It’s fantastic.

Yes - USA company that manufacturers industrial washing machines and dryers for washaterias, hospitals, hotels, etc. Their residential line of washers and dryers are built to similar standards. Little more expensive, usually without the frills, but they are known to last 20+ years with few or no issues. Very good labor and parts warranty compared to their competitors.

Just talked with Kathy, they sell the TC5. The difference:

The TC is the classic no lid lock transmission fills with water. A more aggressive wash but like they used to work in the day.
