We've got a cordless Shark that does a decent job.

Old hardwood floors, except for the hall laundry/half bath, which is 12 inch ceramic tiles. It says 40 minute run time, and I usually can vacuum our whole downstairs twice on one charge. Clean up is simple, the canister removes from the vacuum, then dumps out the bottom. I still have a corded model I use occasionally, but to clean up the kitchen and hallways quickly I grab the cordless.

I've had various Dysons for the past 8 years or so. Currently have the V11 stick. It's my only vacuum. Use it at least twice a day in my kitchen area (3 kids). My house is a mix of ceramic, hardwoods, and carpet. Does all 3 great. If it broke today, I'd have another stick within an hour. Not partial to Dyson, but it's all I've ever used

We also like our Dyson V8. Brick is tough (we have in kitchen). It bounces around a good bit on the grout lines, but suction is pretty strong and gets grout clean. Otherwise it's great. We have a shark cord vacuum and the Dyson seems to be about the same suction. No issues with battery life, except ours died like a week after we got it. Dyson sent me a free replacement battery.

I can definitely see how it would bounce on the brick. But yes, warranty is great. They replaced a canister and a stick for me. No questions.

I just got the Wyze cordless stick vacuum for $79 online and it's working fine so far. The battery life has been fine and the suction is decent enough to pick up anything in its path thus far. Mostly picking up crumbs from my toddler and hair from my wife and cats though

We have this one as well. Hardwood with rugs and tile. Amazing how strong this thing is.

I cannot tell you how disappointing our Dyson v11 animal is. It’s terrible unless you’re picking up minute dust or anything smaller than a grain of sand. Anything bigger than that it either throws around the room with the brush or it sucks it up into the stick when when to turn it off everything falls out onto the floor.

Not to mention crappy durability. The handle has cracked in multiple places.

Garbage.

ETA: we got the “animal”version assuming it would be better, we don’t have pets. But nonetheless it gets clogged very easily

Had the Dyson V8 animal for about 6 years before it finally gave out. Replaced with a V15 detect which has the new style heads, more power, etc. and it has been even better. Highly recommend.

Dyson V8 animal is an animal. Battery could be a little longer if you do some rugs.

Project Farm did a test of some of the popular brands and the Dyson came out on top, although it was most expensive and loudest.

Check out Vacuum Wars on youtube. Guys are serious vacuum nerds. We have LVP throughout the entire house. We went with the Shark Stratos and it does a fantastic job.

We've had both shark and Dyson. The Dyson is better. They're worth the money.

My wife got the cheap INSE cordless for like $160 on Amazon and it's worked fine so far. We have hardwood, tile, and carpet.

This replaced my Oreck. 2 batteries, last up to 70 minutes for each battery. Attachments.

Pricey. But very good.

Does it come with 2 batteries? If not, where to purchase an extra one?
