I’m 32 fairly healthy, never established a primary doctor. I’m looking to get some blood drawn to do a good general checkup. See what vitamins im deficient in, how’s my blood work, my testosterone levels. I want to see as much as I can.

Is there a good general doctor I can go see for all this in the BR area?

I don't have a specific recommendation other than to say find one of the internal medicine doctors at Baton Rouge Clinic. I don't go there as I've been with my dr forever and I'm not changing now, but my wife goes there and they seem to have their shite together. Very efficient and short waiting times from what she tells me. And they have just about every specialty under roof, so if you need a specialist, they're right there.

The women who check you in for lab work at the BR Clinic are some of the rudest medical personnel I have ever dealt with.

Close friend of mine is an internist with OLOL Physician Group, Dr. Champagne. Great guy.

Yeah, these guys pushed the vax pretty hard. I'm still with mine but I'm very wary. Statins are going to be the next rec from him and since he flopped the vaccine, I'm gonna ask ALOT of questions.

I would imagine finding one who didn’t push the clot shots is pretty rare. I’m looking for a PCP but most around Baton Rouge seem retarded.

The vaccination was free to the Dr.and they were paid,$40.00 for every shot.
All the Dr was out was about .25c for the needle and syringe and a little time to enter it into the medical record.
2 vaxxes and a booster would be $120.

Any wonder why the Drs. Pushed the vax.

I got a new GP last year and he and his NP are my favorite doctors I've ever had. They do all my labs, spends time and his whole staff is super friendly. They do all my hormone labs also. I am seen on time for both the doc and the lab. Baton Rouge General, Jacob Wood and love his NP, Meghan Gunness also. I see Meghan mostly now but, Dr Wood did my initial consult. I've been 4 times this year and love them. I believe he is also one of the Catholic High team docs also or used to be.

Lots of positive reviews

I have two general suggestions for you. Find somebody that is YOUNG. They are generally more willing to listen and learn. When I suggested moving to subcutaneous TRT v. intramuscular he disagreed at first because of what he learned in med-school. But he researched it and saw that subcutaneous is more efficient and changed his practice protocol.

Second, strongly consider a D.O.

I have one I like who is young and works out of Ochsner in Gonzales. Hesitant to post here though for obvious reasons.

I was going to say Jacob Wood as well. Good doctor, friendly office staff. In my experience never had to wait more than 10 minutes. Lab work done in office so you don’t have to go to a hospital lab. His nurse is responsove through their patient portal as well. I’ve never seen his NP. Only Dr. Wood.

Miles Jaynes has treated me well. He's a big fan of supplements and non-medical/medicine intervention where necessary.

Has recommended several supplements I take daily that have lowered cholesterol, etc.

No wait, everything is online through mychart and virtual visits are easy any time you have a question.

I feel he keeps up with the medical data and doesn't placate drug salesman. Rarely do I leave with a prescription.

I was in a similar boat. Ended up going with Joseph Larriviere. He's a younger, Internal Medicine at BR Clinic.

And happens to be a young D.O.

Since y’all put him out there I guess I’ll claim him as well. He’s great.
