It's scary to realize how "normal" that continuous hungover feeling was becoming.

Good lord, yes. When I cut back on drinking I realized that what I thought was feeling pretty good was actually feeling pretty shitty, I just didn't have any other baseline to know.

Agreed. Waking up feeling as good as I did when I went to bed, has been the best feeling for years now without being hungover.

In!

Well guys, I am officially out of Sober October.

The Third Saturday in October was too much for me to handle. Was in Knoxville for the game and 20 years of misery turned into the party everyone saw. No regrets!

Keep on the steam for everyone still in it, best of luck!

Start now bud!
A “reset” is not a “game over.” You get to keep playing!

Lost 4lbs in sober October. Brain feels like it’s functioning better and I’m going to try and keep away from any substances during the week outside of a small bit of caffeine in the mornings.

Definitely had more patience with my kids and more drive at work with a month of sobriety.

On to No Sugar November. Gonna try my best to avoid all processed sugar and syrups. Of course making an exception for Thanksgiving.

Well my sober October didn't go according to plan. I was sober 20 of 31 days. Right at 65%

Oh well, onto a new month and a good start yesterday

I was able to hold out the first 10 days then I imbibed on the weekends a bit. Was sober 26 of 31 days. I did hit all of my workouts and had a very productive month lifting.

Awesome. Good for you. I was pretty disciplined the first three weeks, but have lapsed some the past few days (work stress, Halloween, etc.).

I think our group encouragement to cut down as much as we can is a good thing. We're now heading into the holidays, which will be difficult, but I plan to cut back when and where I can, but not beat myself up over lapses.
