I have the xebex and have used the c2 extensively, the only thing not as good on the xebex is the monitor which is good but similar to older c2 models. Actually everything else is an upgrade over the c2 I'm. Granted I have not messed with versions 2 or 3 of the xebex so maybe the monitor has improved. The xebex is heavier due to thicker steel so that could be a down side too.

The xebex bike is a little too heavy duty Imo but it's a great bike and I would not choose the assault bike over it but would take the air mill bike over all.

Either will last you a lifetime. So question is do you value being a part of the larger rowing community? If so choose the c2, if not the xebex.

Honestly if you could find a late model c2 for the same price as the xebex then jump on it, but I wouldn't wait around for a c2 as they come on the used market so infrequent.
