Yeah to clarify I'm not a fat arse or anything. I'm already pretty low bf % but I really want to get to where I can see my abs and shite because why not and I figure removing carbs would be the best step in that direction. I know it's a matter of willpower but I just wanted to gauge tips techniques people who have successfully gone this route use to sustain that diet without relapsing like a junkee

You really just need to identify your weaknesses when it comes to sugar/carbs. Sounds like it may be fast food for you. My weaknesses are ice cream, beer, and pizza. Once those are identified, focus on cutting back/eliminating them. When I started my diet, I cut pizza and ice cream out completely and limited myself to beer just on the weekends. Once I got into the habit of not eating pizza or ice cream, the cravings for both went away. I have since re-introduced both into my diet, but in much more reasonable portions. Whereas I used to eat 3-5 pieces of pizza, I limit myself to 2 now. Whereas I used to have a big bowl of ice cream every night, I limit myself to 2 small ones a week.
Like someone said, it's a lifestyle change, and after the first few weeks it's a lot easier than I thought it would be.

You've gotta do most of your cooking at home and track every last ingredient. It will be hard at first, and you'll be hungry, but it will pass, and you'll start shedding weight.
I lost almost 10 pounds my first week on Keto (obviously a lot of water, but progress pics showed a big change in body composition even after just a week.
You've got to make sure you get enough fat to keep you full. It seems counter intuitive to load up on fat to lose weight, but it works.
Join r/keto on reddit, or at least read through it. So much help and support there. Good luck.

You can do this while high carb also if easier to avoid fats.
Also could put a carb cycle in place
Key is to be disciplined and commit to the goal

Yep. Love that shite.
Every night was a stretch, but there weren't many nights I didn't have a bowl of ice cream.

Need tips for quitting carbs
1. Stop eating them
I can jump into ketosis by Tuesday morning, if I start Monday morning. Wake up Monday take an EC(FO) and do not eat until lunch. Only eat a small salad with lettuce and Italian dressing or an avocado. Then for your workout either swim for 30 minutes or do a complete body workout for 30 minutes. Intensity is key, high heart rate while doing pull ups, bench, squat, and may cleans. This gets the lymphatic system moving. Eat a small high fat dinner (bacon on 80/20 patty with avocado) drink lots of water. This works for me every time. I'd also consider IF while doing keto, results are fantastic.

You just have to find more options to eat.
Low carb Recipe database You can make anything you want but a low-carb version. Biscuits, cake, pizza. Instead of eating canes you can easily make some almond crusted chicken tenders.
If cooking is not your thing, just about everywhere is has easy low-carb options. Mexican has a great chicken breast with vegetables and cheese and tortilla soup minus the tortillas , Chinese place has egg foo young, Lebonese has great salad. Jimmy johns has unwich.
I like to eat berries and whip cream, and a couple tablespoons of Breyers a low-carb ice cream. Or mix marscapone cheese with cocoa powder and Splenda.
that's the hardest thing about the diet, you have to cook, be prepared.

If you're decent in the kitchen and have a little time them really experiment w low carb substitutes for carby foods.
We do bagels, muffins, pancakes, pizza, burritos, quesadillas, desserts, "pasta," "mashed potatoes."
I've found that a little effort can keep you fat adapted and satisfied.
You also need to heed the advice of other posters re: fat intake. MCT/coconut oil (I just take a shot and chase w coffee because I don't like bulletproof coffee.) I eat lots of avocado w olive oil. Bacon. Fatty steak cuts. Eggs. Salmon. Cheese. Good nuts and seeds. etc.
