I Love Brooks Shoes

After putting a beating on pair about two years ago I decided to get another pair about 6 months ago and bought a new pair, wore them once on a quick two miles and threw them in the closest to wear once I wore out my Saucony Omni 15s,(which I highly recommend, just wanted to switch things up) last week I wore the Brooks on my treadmill and for a the first time in forever I got blisters on my feet, the same shoes didn't wear the same.
I was talking to my dad about it and he said just call Brooks and they'll replace them, they'll even pay for shipping. I told him I bought them over a year and they have slight wear on them,(I'm a heavy footed runner for the most part), he said they would anyway. I didn't believe him and called anyway and I am getting a new pair in on Moday and if they don't work Brooks will find the perfect shoe for me. I mean, wow... I know in this day and age you gotta have great customer service, but wow. They said that if you are a member of Roadrunner Sports with any of their products it's not a problem at all, I bought these in Amazon because Prime and Brooks still replaced them. I've never had to with Saucony before and was curious if they did the same thing? Probably... Anyways, if y'all have never tried Brooks or have been on the fence, I highly recommend them.
tl;dr- bought shoes from Brooks a year ago, they don't fit so they are replacing them for free with a little wear and tear. Brooks is highly recommended by OP

I love my cascadia's. On my second pair.

I'm still pissed they ended/ruined the PureConnect series.

I have the Glycerrins but I will probably get a pair of Cascadias for park/trail running season

You can stand find them new on eBay and maybe amazon via my sister, it's what she does her road races in

Best running shoes/workout shoes I've ever had. They discontinued my favorite model so I've got to find a new pair soon.

It sounds like Brooks makes amazing shoes and then discontinues them.

Tried every major brand
Brooks....the most support and the longest lasting support.

Work for the local store in Monroe. Brooks are far and away the most popular brand we deal with and their customer support is second to none. I really like the adrenaline from brooks.
I've ran in the new balance 880s a lot lately and have put in some runs on saucony freedoms and mizuno sky. I like the saucony a lot for running not so much for walking in and vice versa with the sky's. The 880s are awesome for everything.

I have a pair of Beast that are heavy and terrible. Have not worn them in years. Maybe some insoles will help them.

Go with adrenaline. Beasts are for the elderly or if you have every problem in the book. If you're in neither category stay away from them.

My wife is all Brooks all the time. I switched to Altra a few years ago and prefer them, but like Brooks they tend to screw things up size-wise w new models. I have 3 perrr of last year's trail runners for this reason. Brooks would still be no. 1 though if Altra weren't around and I wasn't hooked on zero drop.

I'm an Altra guy too!
Not to hijack, but that toe box (or in OT parlance: dat toe box doh) on the Altra is a lifesaver for my weird-assed feet. They stay snug and loose in all the right places. And the Superior 2.0s at least don't look like creepy Ronald Fing McDonald boots (contrast, some of the other Altras).

quote:Yep. It's really annoying. And they are the only ones that make a shoe I can wear as my primary tenny shoe "without" a heel (i.e. quasi-minimalist).

I'm in Altra's right now, but nursing an achilles issue. Need to probably go up to a 4-6mm drop shoe. But I'm addicted to the Altra toe box. I think Altra only makes zero drop shoes though. Anything close to the space they give in another brand?
Posted on 5/28/17 at 9:13 am to KG6
There's really nothing that comes close. My other goto shoe is Saucony Kinvaras. That was my shoe until I switched to Altra. I still keep a pair to rotate.

Saucony freedom maybe? They won't be quite as wide and you'll have to go a half size up. They are 4mm drop though. Brooks pure cadence/connect would be worth checking out if you can find them. 4mm drop and brooks tend to open in the toes as well

On another site, someone recommended topo athletic shoes, which I had forgotten about. There is a 5mm option. I've tried them on at Varsity when I was back in LA. Don't know anyone that wears them, but i may give them a shot.
