Is there a probiotic that will help? Any particular kind?
Any other tips appreciated.

I'm assuming this is for a weight loss journey.
Some tips that have helped me lose over 45 pounds are to not give in and do not buy anything high in sugar from the store which leads you to become more conscious of ingredients on food labels. If you have to get sugar and give in, at least consume natural sugars from fruit for example which is a more healthier alternative. Cold turkey is best, but if you turn it into a reward like system where you treat yourself every once in a while, then those cravings should not be so demanding. Another tip would be to chew gum, which is a temporary fix.
Don't know much about probiotics, but you could also take that route if you so chose.

When the sugar craving hits, any time day or night, a giant spoonful of natural peanut butter and a protein shake.
If at night, brush your teeth after and get in bed.

Keto or low carb diet and have a very dark chocolate as your sweet fix. You won’t want it as much and when you do have an actual sweet item, it will be gross.

I am on day 29 of a 40 day sugar fast. I removed all sugar from my house, except the stuff for the kids, and I moved that to another room in a closed Tupperware. The first few days are the hardest, so just fill your fridge/pantry with good alternatives that you enjoy, lots of protein. I do allow myself one sugar free Werther's hard candy if I get desperate, lol. But now, I'm good, the cravings are gone. So if you can go cold turkey, that's probably the best way.

Cold turkey for me
Had to remove it from the pantry
Now after dinner I chew gum

Sugar fuels its own craving. The longer you go without it, the more it goes away. Instead of a sugary snack have one piece of fruit. I know it seems like its a broken record of same ol advice here but taking something to curb your cravings will never solve your issues, it will just temporarily mask it.

Very real struggle for me especially after a smoke session

You should eat some sugar then. Maybe some berries or a coke.

Start by keeping it out of the house. I try to do that but then my wife (no pics) sometimes buys stuff that will reignite my sugar cravings. I try to limit all of my sugar intake to solely fruits. Some yogurts have low/no sugar added and those help my cravings at times.
In all honesty, the biggest way to reduce the craving is by cutting the stuff all together. Drink water when you crave sugar.

Half of you drink protein shakes loaded with artificial sweeteners and flavorings just buy a tub of chocolate donut protein powder and have a shake when you crave sugar. Problem solved.

These right here. I get them at Sam’s. They’re a god send.
