Best way to reduce belly fat?

I’ll be honest, I’ve had a decent sized gut for awhile now and really need to shrink it. Anyone have a tried and true method? I know first I need to cut back on the eating obviously. Are sit-ups a good way to start?

Situps are last on the list of things to do to get a flatter stomach.

1. Eat less
2. Eat healthier
3. Walk 10,000-15,000 steps per day
4. Lift weights
5. Think about doing some situps once you've done 1-4

Eat better, drink less, and some kind of cardio, even if it is just walking for 30 min to an hour per day. Don't get discouraged if results don't come immediately. I started doing this a few years ago and woke up one day and all of my clothes were too big for me.

No alcohol.
Meat and vegetables.
Exercise normally.
No Caniacs.

Eat better. Protein and veggies.

Drink less, exception being water.

you can't spot reduce fat by increasing muscle mass in an area. YOu just have to burn it overall, and it will get there eventually.

What you shouldn't do is immediately try to go run 4 miles and cut out all carbs/sugar from your diet immediately. That's a recipe for getting frustrated and giving up.

Start with walking two miles, then build towards running two miles, then take it from there.

And start with maybe eating fruit for dessert, then maybe fruit for breakfast, and take it from there.

Incrementally implementing things will help you make this a long-term thing, as opposed to the "New Years Resolution" January BS.

You can have the strongest, most developed abs in all the world and it don't do a damned thing to a layer of belly fat. Unfortunately, you're just going to have to consistently drop the weight while staying active.

Its going to be the hardest to lose if you are a man. Thats where we store it.

But weights, diet and consistency.

I wouldnt worry about killing yourself on cardio. You want to stay strong while losing weight or you will just be skinny fat.

Eat less, move more. Sounds simple but works great. Tons of water too. Will be slow but minimal effort you can drop a few lbs a week

3. Cut out sweets

Do these three things and you will lose weight. Guaranteed.

Lose weight. Outside surgery it’s the only way. There is internal gut fat too that is below the muscle. It’s all proportionally reduced with weight loss.

I couldn't tell you what I do, but I'm 53 and have a flat stomach. I work out every day and don't eat or drink anything that has sugar in it.
