one where you eat below maintenace calorie levels and you take in enough protein to spare muscle.

Personally like leangains.

So what I gather is you recommend Intermittent Fasting and a caloric deficit. What about lowering carbs?

Not sure what you mean by "fairly quicky" but an ex-girlfriend has her NPC Bikini pro card and and is familiar with the water and carb manipulation needed to look lean with full muscle bodies on stage. Here is what she recommended for me last July before we went on a trip to Tahiti. I was already very lean to begin with but since most of the trip would mean wearing little to no clothing I wanted to get rid of the belly bloat. Her suggestion was for two weeks prior to the trip to drink as much water as I could while eating tons of lean protein (salmon, chicken, turkey breast, eggs) and eating unlimited amounts of green fibrous vegetables (lots of spinach, green beans, broccoli) and I mixed in some red peppers. It definitely worked but by the time the trip rolled around I was going crazy. Definitely a short-term fix.

goto ifcalc. Punch in your info, do 3kg/bw for protein and 90/10 for carbs fat.

I like lower carbs or carb cycling. The above is carb cycling. Try to eat all the carbs after the workout if possible besides maybe 50-75g.

I assume you are already thin btw.

Although the use of a mutivitamin is controversial among some (I take one every day) it won't hurt to take one daily to ensure you get the vitamins and minerals your body requires.

Pretty much lean gains but with lower protein than martin recommends.

Like I said op, goto if calf and plug in your info. Follow the other directions I posted.

I have 1 gram of protein per body weight as my minimum but I always seem to go over it anyway when making my meal plans

Kind of hard not to on a cut

Carb cycling diets have always worked best for me to drop fat without feeling too depleted

Doing that and 3-4 mornings per week of fasted (with BCAAs) AM cardio is my go to

A ketogenic plan would shed fat pretty quickly if you are willing to commit to it

Go to costco and buy as many bags of Frozen Wild Caught Salmon as you can afford. Purchase several big bags of organic broccoli. Eat salmon and brocoli only for 6 meals a day. Thank Kevin Levrone in 4 weeks.

The ideal ratio is somewhere around this. I never eat that much protein tho, usually around a 1 to 1 ratio.

1.5 G of protein per lb
.5 G carbs
.5 g fat

Basically as others have said, lower your calories and eat enough protein that you don't lose your strength/muscle.

It can be tough to do but I do for meals is the below.

Lunches:
* salsa chicken with black beans and corn
* mojo chicken with black beans
* chicken burrito bowl (not chipotle)

Dinner
* chicken kabobs - can do varying flavors so you dont get sick of it.
* blackened chicken
* jerk chicken
* lean pork chops with sweet potatoes

I had the most success with Paleo. I lost like 15 pounds relatively quickly.

Now I try to have a well balanced diet with 1.5-2x protein of my body weight.

Hardest thing for me is cutting out beer and soda but if you can do that then it should be easy

Yeah the nutrients are definitely needed. I get them through Shakeology. Seems to be a more bioavailable form for me, plus it has probiotics
