Just about every green is unplayable. Sad for such a nice layout.

Course has been losing money for years. Probably finally gave up

Supposedly an irrigation issue a couple months back during a drought and never got them back apparently, haven’t played it in a few years, this was 2 months ago.

Not my fault. I’ve been gone nearly 2 years.

I was saying it makes sense a course losing money isn't in good shape, That Makes Sense

I see the flag, but is there a green in taht picture?

Was told by the employee in the pro shop, 3 weeks of non stop rain did most of the damage. Place was flooded.

That green looks like a recovered burn victim

They could have at least cut the hole in a spot where there was actually grass.

It's terrible.. my daughter played a tournament there recently and a couple of the greens were exactly what that pic showed.. It was so bad that the tournament gave them a guaranteed 2 putt once they reached the green....
Other greens weren't draining well and it was like putting on a sponge covered in molasses.. it's a great layout, and would love to play it in better conditions..

Then why doesn't every other course in south Louisiana look like this? Hated seeing it when I took my son out there 3 weeks ago.

The course was initially subsidized by Parish Government. When the Prish pulled the funds, the course condition slowly became what it is today.

Time to sell it to the St. Martin parish farmer that got Cane Row looking like a Miss USA contestant in 18 months !

I’m just repeating what employees said. Supposedly, they had more rain than surrounding areas. Maybe they used the excuse and the superintendent burned the greens. Who knows.

They still get parish funds. The greens in question were always in trouble because of the lack of airflow and sunshine due to the abundance of trees around them as designed by the course designer. He wouldn't let them cut any down or trim any back when the problems first arose. Same thing with the tee box on #2. Never got enough sun.

I’m so damn sick of hearing this excuse from people. There are golf courses all over the world with trees near greens and tee boxes that have lush, vibrant grass on them. It’s a complete bullshite excuse. Do your damn job and the grass will grow and quit worrying about drinking beer and playing in your weekly and weekend games…

I swear it’s a Louisiana mental disease that you have to cut down all the damn trees to have grass

I bet you repair all your ball marks, sand divots, rake bunkers after yourself and abide by all cart regulations after scoring that sweet Hot Deal on GolfNow.
