Working on my chipping as it is the weakest part of my game. What are some tips or techniques you know that has helped you?

Monte Scheinblum Use the bounce instructional video. Free on his website rebelliongolf. My chipping became a strong part of my game after i learned it
He also has a short video with the be better golf guy on youtube where he explains it.

Forward lean. Accelerate through impact.

I just do whatever I can to hit the green. Stop aiming at flags and you won't have to chip near as often.

Tip that helped me the most was keep your hands in front of the ball, especially after impact. Might not work for you but that's what helped me.

I need this exact thread but for pitching. These early spring tight lies from 30 yards are a nightmare. I’m THIS close to putting it.

Figure out what problem you're having that is leaving you 30yds from the green and fix that, imo. Other than that, it would be a matter of you practicing on your 30yd shots.

Short Game Bible by Dave Pelz did wonders for me. My swing thoughts are get some forward lean, point lead elbow left of target, dead wrists, and follow through.
Chipping off the greens has become probably the best part of my game since reading that book though.

Weight forward. Hit the damn ball.
You don’t always have to hit a lob wedge around the green
For those short chip shots:
Closer to the ball, Tall chest, get the club up on the toe, use a putting stroke

most of your weight on the front foot. hands in front of the ball. don’t decelerate the club.

I used to be a decent chipper and lately have struggled with fat and thin shots while on the course. Went to the range on Sunday and worked for about 3 hours. After about and hour in, I realized all my bad shots were coming from gripping the club too tightly.
I went soft hands and everything started to work again. The points above are all great points, it’s just crazy how something so simple can have that much of an impact.

Learn to use the bounce. It creates forgiveness. Take some practice swings so that the club isn't eating into the ground.
Like others have said, get the weight on your front leg, get some forward shaft lean, and accelerate through the ball.

Aside from swing, focus on chipping to the desired landing spot which would then roll out accordingly based on the club you use. Pick and landing spot instead of chipping close to the hole.
Swing wise, weight load in front leg and dead wrists like others have already mentioned. Once I have my backswing and hinge, my downswing is all connected body rotation and I finish with belt buckle towards hole and club face towards sky

It somewhat depends on what kind of chip shot you have. Most folks would be better served by chipping with an 8 iron or 9 iron if the shot does not require too much loft. Put if in the back of your stance, press hands forward and put a putting stroke on the ball. Takes the fat or thin shot out of play and easier to control the distance.
If loft is required, then certainly use the bounce and accelerate through the shot.
