I actually did, and found that I hardly used the HD so I wasn't concerned.
well after the fact there are games I'm interested in that I can't play without buying another product and doing some technical work to make sure it is in the right format and hoping that the xbox will accept it.

Absolutely. Why? Because I knew before I bought my console, I would have to pay $5 for a monthly subscription for Xbox Live.

You didn't research. You "assumed" a bare bones, basic model console would do everything you ever wanted it to do. You were wrong.
If you buy a bare bones, basic PC do you assume it will do everything a high end $2000 PC will do?

Lesson learned: Don't buy MS consoles because you aren't sure if it will actually work. Plus, when your console fails and you buy a replacement expect fanboys to whine that you didn't spend quite enough c notes on your replacement.

Holy shite, once again the 360 isn't a PC. The hardware in a shitty cheap Dell and a $2000 custom rig are totally different. A 20gb 360 at launch plays games the exact same as a 360 sold today.
