Game talks don't go far here. People either don't play games much if at all, or have very select interests in games.

I never played either. Pokemon was popular when I was at the "too cool for kid stuff age". I have no shame now that I'm an old man so I figured I'd give it a look.

I have a couple of friends who were/are really into Pokemon. They tried to drag me in and I held them off with a stick made of nails and razor blades.

I've seen you post that before. How does that happen? It's interesting to me that someone wouldn't start gaming until their mid 20's. I'm just assuming you're in your in mid/late 20's.

It's pretty lame. I can justify playing games at my age by saying it's something I grew up with and it's always been a part of my life. Gardoki just made a bad life decision.

29 actually. I played a lot of Zelda and mario as a kid. in high school I played the PS2 GTA's and sports games. In college I played just sports games and the occasional summer game like FFX or KOTOR. Honestly, I didn't know what all was out there. Shooters did not appeal to me and still don't really. I used to dislike any game with a gun basically because they handled so poorly in the early 3d days so when the FPS trend started I didn't care. I also worked a lot in college so I didn't have much time for anything. A couple of years ago I picked up AC2 on a whim and fell in love with it. 6 months later I built a PC

Only decision I regret in life is getting a Kinesiology degree.
eta: Even that isn't a big regret. Had I done something different I may have not met my wife.

No not at all. I just didn't branch out until then. When I picked up ac2 was probably the first time I picked up a controller in a couple of years though. The only reason I hadn't sold my ps3 at the time was for blue rays.

I had a hard time getting into dragon age inquisition. I one day will come back to it but I'm enjoying demon's souls more then dai. I also enjoyed skyrim more than dai.

It's certainly not for everyone. I didn't love it but I did like it.
