So would I be playing the games through the computer or through the television?

You have your main PC that's running windows that streams the game to another computer that will run the steamOS. The steamOS machine will be hooked up to your TV. You can probably still use kb/m or controller, whichever you prefer

I think what it's saying is you can build a home theater PC that you hook up to your TV and put this OS on it. For games that are compatible with this new OS, you would play them off of this SteamOS HTPC.

If you have a game in your library that is Windows only, you can stream that game to your HTPC.

It's based on Linux, so I'm pretty sure you'll be able to use mouse and keyboard if the game you are playing supports it.

Having said all that, I wonder if you'll be able to stream FROM a SteamOS PC to a Windows based installation of Steam.

guys on teksyndicate were speculating that this would basically put the onus on the dells and alienwares of the world to create their steambox for them. At the moment I like the move, although I am not sure how much use I will get out of it. I already have my main PC lined into my TV. Love the family sharing and streaming option though. Will be interesting to see if it will stream 1080 without too much delay. Also, could one stream non steam games (origin and uplay) to the steamOS PC?

TLDR like the idea, but want to see more about the implementation first.
