The new version that has arrows pointing towards where you need to go isn't bad. The old school 64 version was confusing as hell.

It appears that I have to melt some red ice before doing the water temple. Always a surprise waiting for me

I'm a MM fan, but mostly because i'm a little darker then most and like the feeling of hopeless you get from start to finish with that title.

Dem feels for the Anju-Kafei sidequest.

I thought it was a nice touch that the ending changes slightly to suit the events if you stop the skull kid on the same cycle as finishing that quest.

If Link fails in OoT he goes the MM path but if he succeeds he goes which path?

MM's story line is Link goes back into the past and prevents Ganondorf from ever getting the Triforce.

Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess occur in this timeline.

Wind Waker occurs in the Timeline of the adult Link who beats Ganon.

Most of the classical, pre OOT games occur in the "downfall" timeline, where Link is killed in the battle.

What should my order be?
I would just play them in order of release. The Zelda timeline is nonsense largely made up by Nintendo (and fans) after the fact to appease the hardcore. I think it's far more interesting to see the evolution of the game design, which a release date order gives you.

So after OOT, do like everyone does. Play Majora's Mask for a few hours, decide you don't like it and then move on to Wind Waker. Continue from there.

I agree with playing them by release. If you think about it, items and weapons will make sense as new items are slowly introduced over each release.

I've heard a lot of interesting things about MM

I think I'll like it. Im aware of the 3 days deal and the masks. I'll probably need a guide for it

Words can't describe how annoying the 3 day stuff can be if you aren't using a guide for the game and actually searching for stuff.

It's annoying but that pressure is what gives the game a sense of urgency.

You are always in the moment.

A) Inverted Song of Time
B) Why don't you use a Cycle just to explore? I just have never gotten this complaint. Use your time wisely. Only time I think the time limit actually threatened me were the Great Bay Temple, Ikana, and Stone Tower, which is a point in the game where it should be harder.

Don't all OoT threads devolve into MM threads?

Impending Doom - Hopelessness - Solidarity

The pressure from every dong of that clock amplifies the situation. Really puts you in the moment, like few games could do.

Lol, I remember when it first hit Blockbuster, they had 5 copies of the game and all but one was rented out. I was with my cousin at the time and I saw it first, but he grabbed it and we nearly got into a fist fight over who got to rent it first.
