If you don't mind me asking, what kind of software do you use to record?

Challenges need to fall over a weekend at least in part if possible. Personally, no way I can put in any decent amount of time through the work week and I'm assuming I'm not the only one.

Yes the next one will last at least a week so it will cover one weekend, I had no idea there would be this much interest. However, I'm super pumped that there's this many interested. This was more of a trial run to see how it would go.

Jeb would have (hopefully) survived this. This is Space X's failed attempt to land their 1st stage on their barge.

Invidia Shadowplay.

Hardware based recording on my vid card.

It's really nifty because not only can you use defined start and stop recording, if something really cool happens you can hit a key and save the last x minutes of gameplay.

It's why I asked for it to extend a week as well. I have an incredibly busy schedule that doesn't allow much game time unfortunately.

Nice!

Nice lander too!

I knew the cheapest way was solid fuel. I like your design for leaving Kerbin's orbit.

The trick to solid fuel is to throttle it back in the VAB so you don't waste the energy to atmospheric drag by going full thrust from the start.

Sometimes it's handy to get that quick burst and dump them, but many times its inefficient.

I tried to get a Kerbal in a seat just for the hell of it.....it required an elaborate contraption of basically a capsule radially attached that he came out of with a drone core that was ejected off the rocket.

If you exclude the parts ejected before launch it actually comes out to be about 170 cheaper than the prior design (seat is like 250 cheaper than the drone core + 80 for a battery pack).

But mid way through I just got fed up and abandoned the project mid filming.

But I'm proud of my lander too.

We going for Wal mart cheap landers here!

Ain't nobody got money for fancy pansy luxuries like lander legs!

Damn. I don't know why i didn't think of this

I love doing the cheap rocket challenges. It's like what a redneck would build in his backyard if he could.

Does it record science in sandbox? I don't think I ever check for it.

You also will get very uneven scores for people who got science from Minmus already. May need a new save game.

Sucks I missed the last one, ready to go this week.

Looking forward to doing this mission

It doesn't but I believe it still shows experiments that you performed. Like "Surface sample from Minmus flatlands" but you won't get any science points from it.

People who have been to Minmus are going to get screwed on science. If you start fresh, it's a time consuming process to get the parts you need to do a big science run. You really don't get a test run unless you quicksave.

Think we should stick to less time consuming and easy entry missions.

I'm out if I am going to have to spend a few hours just to get to a point of starting to build a rocket to do the challenge.

Can't you just start a new sandbox mode?

Henry said sandbox doesn't give science, you have to go career.
