My fiancé and I are interested in playing board games and getting involved with other people or even groups who shares the same type of hobbies we do. Does anyone know of anything out there that could help lead us in the right direction? I have been trying to do a little research on it, but I can't come up with anything. Thanks.

The fiancé and I also interested in the same. I've been looking for something similar but everything leads to Tender.

She isn't big on tabletops but also never played anything.

<--@gmail.com if in the SE LA area.

We have quite a few board games and continue to build up the inventory on them. You can only play or do so much with only two players. We tend to buy and play tabletop games with a lot of strategy and planning in them, also with some fun. We have games such as Twilight Struggle, Ticket to Ride, Settlers of Catan with the Seafarers Expansion, Pandemic, Dead of Winter, Power Grid, Memoir 44 with a couple of expansion and etc. A little variety of everything from light fun to wanting to strangle each other (All in good fun.) LOL!

I used to play Mousetrap and Trouble when I was a kid. Hungry hungry hippos too. Candyland was a rare treat at school

Get into TCGs if you want a fun two player experience. It's fun to sit down and play a few games every so often

Board games are awesome, we are building up a Monopoly collection of the themed sets. Such as Star Wars, Nintendo, Harry Potter, Pokemon, etc.

Y'all should look into Tabletop Simulator. Every board games imaginable is there and it works well multiplayer.

I know that's not exactly what you're asking for, but this is the gaming board.

I appreciate everyone's help. I guess I may just have to look into starting a game night.

The munchkin games are a lot of fun. My gf and I play them with some friends from college. Kinda nerdy feeling. But it's a lot of fun. I highly recommend it!!

There is a place in Prairieville called Gamers Paradise LLC.

If they don't host a game night of their own I certain they could point you towards one

My gf and I have people meet pretty regularly at my house to play, I jut started asking coworkers and other casual friends. Many people see it as super nerdy Nd are initially reluctant but once they play 7 wonders or catan or ticket to ride or Agricola or dominion or pandemic they are hooked

Get risk and settlers of catan... then prepare to get pissed at the people you're playing with.

Baton Rouge Board and Card Gamers

They play a couple of times a week.

I used to go a lot, but haven't had time lately.

I was in your situation about 6 months I used meetup (as SG_Geaux linked) to find a nice group. We get up to 20-25 people on Sunday nights which is pretty nice.

For people in Nola that would be interested:
