Yea, im not going to look up anything else I just wanted the mage path to be the right one early on.

Now I need to find out where to get conjuring from, sounds cool to conjure weapons on the fly.

buy spell books from stores, mages, etc

and grab a boat load of regents to make potions, to level up.

just a general question but is there a way to farm gold pretty well? I'm just curious I want to get a house for storage sooner than later.

You're instincts are correct - go to Winterhold and learn a lot there. They have all schools of magic available for study.

You can actually mine, but I wouldn't. You can make potions for money, but I'd wait until you can handle yourself well in combat. In all seriousness, you're going to pick up (ideally, in your case a tank) a follower that you'll have to equip. Other than upgrades to his/her base equipment, you'll be swimming in money before too, too long. You can grind out woodcutting for money, but that goes against the spirit of the game for me.

Adventure. Sell what you don't need. Don't hoard, except for unique items. Eventually you'll need to settle down. Initially, you'll have a private room at Winterhold when you join the college. Expand out from there. Or, conversely, if you want to kick off the main quest, complete the Thane of Winterhold and save up to buy Breezehome - then expand out from there.

There is little reason to do things any other way based on how you've started this game and it being your first playthrough.

My best advice, don't overthink it. Play how you want and have fun, you really can't screw up a build in a way that you can't eventually fix it. I had all skills maxed when I finally stopped playing.

I didn't like my 1st wife so I killed her and hid her in an empty room.

being considered pretty much the consensus GOAT, being an RPG fan I was pleased I missed it (I'm traditionally a JRPG fan) Firing up on Saturday saw me putting the kids to bed (one watched me play it until she fell asleep) and playing it all night. I had to force myself to go to sleep.

It is a great game and I just know its going to be epic.

oh and side note: I love the snowy feel to it. Walking in a blizzard feels amazing, it reminds me of GOT

I went with the rogue type player. I could just sneak up on someone and stab them from behind and single shot them, but it made dragon fights tougher since that wasn't exactly an option.

What are some good mods other than the his res textures to use, I am only looking for things that enhance the original or make things better.

I eventually killed the vampire lord and married his daughter as she was pretty hot. And we both strolled around in some killer Dracula mod gear.
