They have a sharpening filter, so it even "looks better" than the PC version, too.
But, oversharpening can really highlight aliasing issues:
Also, PS4 seems more blurry because of the supposed method of anti-aliasing they're using.

I was wondering how it was going to take to get here. There was a lot of fudge going on in these comparisons (because assumptions were made when they rendered the images as they don't actually have the console versions to play).

DF caught a lot of crap for this comparison. I really don't care I don't intend on buying any of FPS, but as you posted, there was definitely some non-X1 footage used as X1 footage.

Eurogamer's Summary
They make it sound like the PS4 version is noticeably better, but I still don't see a difference between the two when they are running in motion. There some very, very minor differences in still photos, but when everything's moving at ~60fps, will anyone notice?

Idk about noticeably, but it will be better, that's already been established. Just how much is unclear...

Very few will notice. It'll be tough to know unless you're just looking at comparison screenshots.

Having read the summary and watched the comparisons the difference is marginal at best. PS4 has undisputed power advantage but it doesn't translate very well (yet). Where I'd look for the big differences is first party games because there won't be much to see with these multiplatform games.

Right, that and the BF4 devs just didn't have enough time to get it perfect for next gen but didn't want to delay it like the other games and that is actually a good decision IMO been too many delays already

They don't know what that is.

The Xbox One looks like it has some deeper black levels or something.

XB1 has terrible dark textures contrasts, at least for BF4.
Other than that, they both look the same.

I wouldn't put much stock in those videos. Youtube is a terrible host for high quality videos with their compression issues.

I'm a bit late to the current gen party.
The vids surprised me - is it consensus that this is the smallest cross-gen graphical upgrade ever? In the big picture(compared to something like SNES->PSX or PSX->PS2), I can barely tell the difference.
To clarify, I remember to this day how Mario 64 and Soul Calibur on Dreamcast floored me when I first saw them. Nothing I'm seeing on either new system comes even close.

I actually kind of agree. The graphics aren't that much better than the last gen, IMHO. But, this is also the very early stages of development for games on the new consoles which haven't fully taken advantage of their hardware.

360 from Xbox floored me the first time I saw a TW golf comparison.
Basically 360 is XB1 with slightly blurred graphics.

I agree with this. To me, it looks more like the difference between the N64 and PSX (sharper textures) than PSX and PS2.
