Rumored to be released September 14 and does not play 4K movies.

I hope they don't plan on releasing this at $299 like the slim Xbone as the author suggests.

With no UHD or 4K I dont see this competing if it's at the same pricepoint.

If true, means they threw this together last second to delay the Neo to 2017 with equal or more power than Scorpio.

Glad I bought an XB1S for my 4K Bluray Player last night too then. That timing.

ETA Reddit seems to believe they are separate both a Slim and Neo to be announced on the 7th

If your a casual gamer it just makes the most sense to grab a One S since it is also the cheapest 4K player.

This is what's going to happen. The chip info that leaked some people were predicting a new vita because the second chip listed was a "mobile" chip but it seems to be pointed towards a smaller ps4 rather than a vita.

Do we know anything about the Neo? I'm thinking of getting one if it's worth it and giving my OG PS4 to my little brother.

I wish they would make these consoles in a standard home theater component form factor.

Except 4K players are still for enthusiasts considering the movies are just not there yet. Also most people still don't own a 4K TV, the cheaper option is what people will go with most of the time.

It doesn't look like there's any reason to get this if you already have a PS4. The One S is at least a slight upgrade to the xbone.

If Sony releases this at $199.99 or less they are going to be adding millions more to their lead on the Xbox. Most people could give 2 shits less about 4k right now.

Then where are all the movies in 4k, etc...

4k is pretty much still in the early adopter phase minus PC gaming.

The store. Pay attention, 4K blurays release now at the same time as DVD and standard bluray. 2016 is the year 4K starts to take over, both in sales and content.

Tell me more, I game at 4K on my PC. It's further behind than televisions/movies by a good chunk my friend.

Am I the only one not a fan of the new styling? I think the old version looks a lot better(especially in white).

Whoooa now. I MIGHT give you 2017. This year is almost over and there is hardly any 4K content out there.

4K "takes over" when networks start broadcasting in it.
