Gold and Silver were the best. It was mindblowing to me when we got to go back to Kanto

Gold Version is tGOAT followed by Silver.
I still remember the shock of beating Johto the first time then finding out I got to go back to Kanto. That was such an awesome feeling going back to Pallet Town

Started Fire Red on the emulator; just beat misty in cerulean city.. Very much enjoying it. Will like play whatever's next in the series that's available on the emulator site the guy listed in the Go thread. Glad I can do it on my phone

Have you guys played X&Y? I hated every Pokemon game after Gold&Silver until X&Y. Don't let the disaster of Black and White ruined the newer titles for you guys.

I'm likely going to start a new run on Soul Silver and also am going to try to break 3 hours on a speed run ok Pokemon Yellow. The WR is like 1 hr, 48 min or something like that, but I'd like to test the waters.

Yeah that Starmie was no joke.. Water Pulse is intense. My Pikachu and Butterfree made quick work those.. Set the poison with Butterfree; then battle till death then come in with electric attacks. Boom.

When I start charmander, I level a ratatta/ratticate for hyper fang. Shits on most things in the game. Gets you through the cerulean gym.

Best Christmas ever was getting yellow blue and red.
I remember buying the Japanese version of silver before the English version came out a year later. Had to be one of few who had it at the time. I was the coolest fricker on the block, but i didnt know what i was reading etc. A lot of trial and error and assuming based of the oldies what was what, but i managed to beat it.

Mom still swears she had my cards in the attic. Id be amazed if she didn't. But i wouldn't know where to begin to find them.

I really own any Pokemon cards during the mania of late 90s. Always have been a sports memorabilia collector and remember seeing them at the card shows back in the day. For the release of X&Y I just went all Pokémon out and started to complete collections I missed out on.
Guessing your cards are probably shadowless given the time period. Those are the ones you want as you know.
