So bad ports

Pretty much this. Games that have problems on day one with either Nvidia or ATI drivers, not optimized for multi-GPU, etc.

i don't have a PC, but it is not uncomfortable to sit upright in a chair like that for long periods of time? at least on a console you can lay on the couch.

It's just as important to get a nice chair as it is to get a nice video card, imo. I can sit at my pc chair for hours on end with no back pain or anything.

also what do you say when you have people over and you have a gaming pc with all the neon and tubes and stuff? are you not worried you might come across a little childish, and how does it fit in with the decor in the room?

how do you explain this to somebody that doesn't game?

My first case was an alien ware looking thing but hey I was 14. All subsequent PCs have been low key cases, that's how I explain it - not getting a transformer case.

i'm not saying it is, but people that don't pc game might look at it as a toy or something, not realizing what all goes into it.

Some people put neon lights in their car, jack up trucks, and put rims on cars.... some people like to customize their PC. To each their own.

no i would just think that would be a complaint of being a PC owner, having that huge setup in your office or room with all the tubes and neon and what not and having to explain it to people when they come over.

Most gaming nerds will surround themselves with fellow gaming nerds that would think it's awesome.

Someone gave me that case. It's from an older model ACER predator gaming PC. I turned it into this:

quote:

how do you explain this to somebody that doesn't game?

You don't, because they probably aren't that interested or will only pretend to understand. The setup in your pic is not my cup of tea as far as aesthetics go, but it looks like a teenager's room anyway.

Regardless, I've yet to come across anyone who found my rig to look childish:

That looks professional

My cable management is shite, but I have a small case that's really hard to work in.. Once I upgrade my PC, I'm going to get a bigger case so I can do that.
