Agreed. Some are just worse than others.
Some are just terrible for different reasons. LAX it is the amount of ppl and terminals, MSY it is lazy fckking workers.

Today is Labor day so I decided to go to one of the local escape rooms, https://thequestfactory.com/ . It will be a small celebration with my family. I have heard many positive reviews so I hope it will worth it.

Not particually interested in mobile varients but i'm a sucker for AMD APUs.

The "Raven Ridge" silicon will hence feature up to 4 CPU cores, with SMT enabling up to 8 threads, up to 8 MB of L3 cache, a "Vega" based graphics core with up to 12 NGCUs making 768 stream processors, a dual-channel DDR4 integrated memory controller, and the same integrated southbridge as "Summit Ridge," featuring two SATA 6 Gb/s ports, and USB 3.0 ports directly from the SoC. In addition, you get a PCI-Express 3.0 x16 interface for graphics, which can be split into two x8 for 2-way multi-GPU. The OpenCL listings speak about two distinct variants, one with 11 NGCUs, and another with 8. AMD plans to roll out the first "Raven Ridge" based products as Ryzen 5 series and Ryzen 7 series mobile APUs, with a desktop debut a little later.

Still pimping Ryzen APU's to my bro who wants to play ffxi. It will be more than enough for that.

Just got my delivery estimate for my Vega 56, Tuesday the 12th. Not bad at all.
Holding out for a $399 Vega 56 definitely paid off.
Gonna be hard to resist flipping it when I would rather have an AIB in a few weeks.

Picked up my PS4 Thursday afternoon, thought all the water was drained from it.
Nope still pouring water out today.

I still have my flooded HTPC. Luckily the XBONE was high up in a hutch over the PC monitors.
Shitty to have to replace everything no doubt.

Yeah, its just.. fckk.
Esp since I just bought most of the electronics for this apartment. Don't like to pull stuff from home just for my apartments when i'm away from home on a project.
Before leaving I put everything up, but mostly just waist high. Wasn't expecting 4-5ft of water.
What you had in the HTPC? This is from last year's Central flood right?
Edt: I brought my TV back home this weekend. Any TV repairmen in the BR/NOLA area? Wondering if I can get it fixed.

Yep. Used to live off ONeal in BR.
It wasn't much to speak of. Just a I3 3100t, integrated video. Quad tuner CETON and several TB of recordings. Blu Ray drive. Nice Silverstone HTPC case. I kept it bc of the case. Tried ram and CPU in another board... nope!
It played Minecraft ok and of course recorded all our shows...saved us 15 a month in DVR fees.

Is it shite smelling water? That's why I ended up throwing away stuff that I could've probably saved. Let some instrument cases dry out for months while I dealt with the house. Went back to them, still had water trapped in them and at that point just didn't want to smell that shite anymore.

I kept a guitar case and ended up throwing it bc it still smelled like arse 8 months later. Anything electrical that wasn't plugged in and didn't have a MDF enclosure got cleaned off and salvaged.
Couple pedals didn't even get water inside although getting fully submerged.
My SKB case main power still works but the mini jack slots don't. I remade a felt pad for the velcro but not sure that will work out long term.

Oh yeah. You know first hand the sediment which comes with flood waters.
I did take my 500GB SSD out. Hoping that can be saved but thats like the cheapest of all the electronics which are fckked.

Fckk any guitars lost?
What sucks but seems like an easy fix are connectors with rust. The gold on connectors didn't rust obviously but I guess what you would call the housing did pretty quickly. That is an easy fix with sand paper IMO.
This whole experience will make me insurance, document and plan better for the future of our next home. Good luck I learned on an apartment with very few things unlike our house taking a hit. Could not fckking imagine. Truly feel for you guys last year and everyone affected by Harvey.
Edt: Did flood insurance and FEMA come close to covering at less 50% of lost to property? What is crazy, during Katrina ppl made money from the disaster. Now I can't even get transitional assistance being "middle class". But boy the lower income brackets have nothing to worry about in terms of compensation.

Made this desk top (70"x28") just to use with my gaming laptop since I already had the Pro for main gaming while away.
Well the plane was to bring up the previous week to the apartment. Good luck I didn't, that could have been the biggest lost next to the cheap 4K Vizio since the top is made with sinker cypress.
It will use these 2 legs.

That looks really clean.
I just built my desk out of 2x4s, 3/4" sheet of plywood, and a sheet of luan on top of the plywood for a smooth surface. It's sturdy as frick, but looks like complete shite
