Let's say I have a wholesale account with a company that sells some PC stuff. Most of it is not that great deal wise but they have a few refurb MOBOs I am looking at.

For example an ASUS Sabertooth X79 LGA 2011 which is $340 usually on Newegg and Amazon. How much could I get on Amazon for some refurb units you think?

Same with an ASUS Rampage IV Extreme LGA 2011 which sales for $430 normally.

I might buy a few and resell them on Amazon but it would only be beneficial if I did a bulk order.

How much are you paying for them? Personally, I'd be reluctant to buy a refurbished board simply because I don't really know what that means. It could be a customer return that ultimately turned out to be "fine" in factory tests, but when I get the board I could find out that it struggles to deliver the current needed for a mild overclock under full load even though it runs perfectly at stock... and that would piss me off.

If you have the means to test them fully, or have a guarantee that there's nothing wrong with them, you might do better to sell it as lightly "used" or something -- in which case I'd check what they're going for on eBay, which is usually the rock-bottom cheapskate price.

Comes with a 180 day direct warranty so it's no big deal to me to buy them and there is always a demand for a reufrb market. I doubt anyone spending that much on a board would buy refurb anyway and I was just using them as examples. There are a lot more from Z77s to the 2011s. Everything else they have is over priced though.

I don't like selling on ebay for the reasons you listed as well as their high arse fees. Amazon seller account is where it's at. I find I get more money for stuff because people trust Amazon more and prefer it over the auction format even though they aren't buying from Amazon. The fees also don't rape you in the arse. No payment fees like paypal and no 10% listing and selling fees. I save around 6-7% on Amazon. You just have to compensate for shipping in your price because Amazon caps the shipping cost you can charge and it varies by items.

Yeah, eBay is ridiculous. They made the listing fee free, but now the final value fee is 10% on everything in every category. Then you have to accept paypal, which is 2.9%, it's basically 12.9% since there's no other payment option for a normal occassional seller. What are Amazon's fees for electronics? I might start selling more there.

Their fees vary item to item. Not just by categories but I have never paid over 7% total for everything.

The only thing you need to be prepared for is they only pay out once a week and it depends on when you sing up or something. I get paid every Monday for my previous weeks sells if I have a balance. I have gotten a weekly payment for about 2 months now from selling stuff I had laying around I am getting rid of.

Thinking about getting the cooler master silent pro 1000w. What do you think? Too much power for crossfire 7950s and a 8350? LINK

I was struggling to keep up in that thread. My problems are small compared to many.

Not bad. The 760 at $250 isn't bad one bit. The 770 at $400 still bothers me.

I would feel better if the 770 came with more memory at $400.

I'd much rather get 2 7870LEs for $400.

well guys after much heartache I finally got my 1440 monitor returned and got a refund. Red cap was the seller, and were very good about the whole thing. Props to them. Someone want to find me a screaming deal on a perfect pixel (0 dead) monitor for 370 or less shipped?
blue how did that PLS 1440 monitor you bought work out?

What happened to it? Maybe you posted it and I forgot.

Here's a Perfect Pixel S-IPS for $380 shipped: LINK

Perfect pixel PLS glossy for $335 shipped: LINK

Seller for both is bigclothcraft. Just browse through his monitors. Ships DHL (literally DHL shows up at your door, it's not passed off to another courier). I ordered one on a Thursday and it arrived the following Monday.

Coyote -- are you familiar with the other Caselabs cases? Over the next year to 18 months, I want to transition to a caselabs case that can hold the following:

dual 5.25" bay reservoir (with the dual D5s)
5.25" fan controller
Blu-Ray Drive
SSD and 2 WD blacks
1 x 480mm Rad push/pull
1 x 360mm Rad push/pull

I'm not sure if the SM8 fits that criteria, might need to go bigger.

So i sold that computer i listed a few pages back for $600. Had about $100 worth of new components in it and paid $100 to get my AC and drivers side window fixed (wouldnt roll down, but would roll up).

So now ive got a fixed car and $400 in my pocket

eta: turned out all the kid wanted to play was DOTA 2

The perfect pixel crossover was only 370. Will just keep an eye on things for now. The response time on that PLS is 8ms vs 6 fore the ips variety.

I found a beautiful crossover perfect pixel for 370. Everything went off without a hitch until I receive the package from fedex where it looks like some drove a goddamn lance through the panel side of it. Opened the box and there was a one inch gash about a quarter inch into the panel. Turns out to ship for free, the koreans claim zero value on their items which means the seller only got 100 bucks even though it was fedex mistake. He offered to let me keep it and he would refund me 100 bucks, but I figured if I am paying nearly 400 dollars for a monitor I am not going to accept anything less than perfect. Shipped it back on the seller's dime and he refunded me the entire 370. Seller was very classy about the whole thing as that could've gone very badly for me. In his listing he did say that things were bubbled wrapped which it certainly wasn't. Anyway, it was a pain, but it could've been a lot worse and I am not out any money.

Nice. I was wondering what happened with the monitor situation. Glad everything worked out.
