I am beyond pissed.
Spent about 7 hours taking shite out, individually testing memory, graphics card, hard drive, trying a billion different ways to flash a bios, and NOTHING.
fricking 2 days ago this thing was functioning beautifully. Idle temps at around 25-26 degrees, never went above 60.
Performed way better than I had anticipated.
RIP first attempt Just lasted over a month.
I RMA'd the board. Idk if I will ever get another MSI board after this. I know its shitty holding something against a brand, and I absolutely LOVED MSI products. Never had an issue with them before this.
I cant tell you how fricking pissed off I am right now.
I'm half considering buying a brand new board and not using whatever they send me after they process the RMA.

Motherfricker...

Seems I'm not the only one who has an MSI board bricking after a Windows update in the last week.
If I really had a bios pushed through Windows update to me...
And I had auto-updates turned on my desktop as well

Wow, Microsoft really fricked up. If Windows update truly flashed an incompatible bios (wtf is MS thinking with that shite?), then the only fix is to replace the board.
There's a post on Reddit from a guy who bricked his Gigabyte board (LINK ), and a post on ASUS ROG boards about it (LINK ), so it's not all MSI. Seems pretty clear it's Microsoft's fault, and a few motherboards apparently the innocent victim. I'm wondering if this is about to become a huge widespread issue for basically anyone running a Skylake build with Windows 10, because most Windows 10 users are going to have automatic updates enabled by default.
I'm guessing that right now only a select few people know about it, and Microsoft is in denial mode. Unless it affects every Skylake user on Win 10, I'm sure it'll be swept under the rug. But MSI will do the RMA. They're pretty decent about that compared to other companies.

Anyone that has a skylake build with auto updates set on, needs to TURN IT OFF.
NOW. Otherwise, you will brick your motherboard.

Have you ever owned a Lian Li? I have a few,and they all are dangerous! The edges are always sharp and rough, guaranteed to cut yourself. Owning that desk might kill you!
I love Lian Li and for the longest time they had the only decent modern simple black cases. Now we have CaseLabs, Fractal and even some Corsairs which look decent.

Yes, Lian Li invented the adult-gamer case. That desk is crazy awesome, and only $1,400!

Yep they help remove those black and red or black and blue plastic abomanations with gray internals.

This time last year we had so much hope for W10, now W10 and Windows has slowly become the mortal enemy of enthusiasts and gamers.

I still like it, but I'd be pretty pissed if I woke up one morning to a force-flashed Lenovo H110 chipset bios.

I do also, but just hate all the features I turn off and every week an update toggles them back on. I'm still worried what they might do with DX12 and the damn Windows Store.

I just hope nothing else got fried, like my CPU, memory, or Graphics Card.

I doubt it. Sounds like Windows simply Terry Schiavo'd your motherboard.

During AMD's Q1 2016 earnings call on Thursday, executives from AMD estimated a 15 percent revenue increase in Q2 2016, plus or minus 3 points, and they cited three semi-custom system-on-chip (SOC) "wins" as the "larger driver" for that revenue. AMD estimates that these SOCs will bring in $1.5 billion in revenue "over the next three or four years." At least one of those three SOC deliveries will begin "ramping" in the second half of this year, with all of those SOCs launching by 2017.
Sony Neo and Nintendo NX are 2 of the 3. New MS console could be 3rd.
