I am loling that people are only making 25% of the price of the mod.

Yeah I don't get it "i'm mad because I can't enhance my game or extend game play for free!" If that's the way you feel then make your own mods and then you don't have to pay a dime.

That's the worst part, and the reason why most of the hardcore talented modding community won't participate. They've run on mostly e-fame for years, and I don't think they'd be willing to give that up just to earn a few more dollars. People who actually use those mods would be much more willing to just direct-pay a modder 30%.

And I just read that a Skyrim mod was already removed because another modder claimed that the seller's mod was using his animations. That's going to be a trainwreck. Nexus has a metric frick-ton of Skyrim mods that are dependent on other Nexus mods that overhaul or add animations, music, meshes, skeletons, physics, and other various scripts. People have already stolen these files or their core dependencies to package as their own just to give away on mod sites for e-fame, and it pisses off the real modders. Can't imagine the shitstorm to come when those same people try to sell them.

I've never used Steam for getting mods and if Steam is giving them a shitty deal I agree just sell them outside of Steam.

The whole thing seems shitty.

-Modders only get 25%
-Modders must have $100 in sales before they get anything. So if you hit $399 it belongs to Bethesda and Steam
-Steam has basically said that stealing a mod and posting it is "frowned upon"...so someone can steal your shite and profit
-No refunds for incompatibility with new patches and stuff

I've always been a big steam fan but they seem to be crossing into the dark side with this shite.

Yeah that shite is wrong, if someone wants to make big bank set up a site for modders to sell the shite and go 50/50, frick Steam and the devs in this case.

Gabe will sellout the company in less than two years, bookmark this.

I have been without power for 7.5 hours. My shite just came on like 45 minutes ago. We had a bad storm with hail and funnel clouds pass over and knocked out a main power line. Took out two poles and it took them for fricking ever to put the new polls up and turn the shite back on.

It's been bad over here today, but we don't normally lose power unless it's a huge storm. Even with Gustav, we were without power for 24 hours tops. With Katrina, this neighborhood lost power for about 5 hours.

Jim Beam Devil's Cut is actually pretty good.

I can't tell you how bad this frustrates me sometimes. A pole went down not far from where I live and it took those son of a bitches 9 hours to get the power back up and running. I understand you're working with electricity and you want to be careful but it took them 2 and a half hours to even get to the scene and then another 6 and a half to get the damn thing set up.

I like this.

Surround/tri-momitor setup just sucks, did not like it at all. Driver issues, bezels and just annoying how Windows handles the desktop with that setup.

These ultra wide monitors have been really tempting as my next monitor upgrade.

Does anyone here stream on twitch?

I have recently started using the app on my Xbox and I've started enjoying it more and more.

Right now I watch a lot of DayZ streamers and occasionally some Battlefield, GTA, CS:GO, and Hearthstone.

I tried watching some guys play Smite but I couldn't get into that. GTA is kind of annoying to watch because it crashes a lot.

DayZ is kinda fun because most streamers interact more with their audience.

Love me some Twitch. I remember when I first discovered it it was all I watched for 2 or 3 days. BaconDonut is one of my favorite streamers.

I watch Trump, Ames and Krip almost daily when they play Hearthstone. When I played a lot of D3 and DayZ 1.5yrs ago, watched a few different streamers.

For twitch I jump around a lot, I watch all of the SC2 tournaments, summit1g because it's normally funny, some towllie but he became a pompous arse when he started making money. When I want to watch something I check games I am interested in or play and skip over the boob chicks to see if anyone is interesting.

I wonder what it would cost to start one of these programs?

I look at the PC spec of most of these guys and a lot of them run GTX970s or 980s and i7 4970k. That is like $650/850 right out of the gates.

I've also seen a couple guys using the x99 chip set

Very few people use the AMD CPUs. Why?

Intel's chips are just straight up more powerful. The 8 cores from amd are great, but they compete with the i5 CPUs from Intel and are more of a budget friendly option
