I want to buy it, but I've already spent $100 on this game buying it for 360 and PC and I never beat all the storylines. Skyrim is just one of those games you wake up one day and don't have any desire to play it anymore. Awesome game, just gets old after you put in enough time.

If Bethesda was smart, they would have come out with a remastered Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. So much better than Skyrim. So much more fun to walk around and do random shite. Better storyline. Better character progression. The spells kinda sucked, but the system in Skyrim made things too cookie cutter. There were too many ways to break the game in Skyrim. All you needed was Smithing/Alchemy/Enchanting and a few badass 1h swords with the elemental fury shout. You could kill a Dragon no problem on the hardest difficulty. The game should not be able to get that easy. Ruined it for me.

Started a character on PC. So you don't select skills to level? They just level as you use them.

A few questions. Can you guys help me out?

1. Anyone play the ps4 version yet?

2. I played and beat it back in 2011. For someone who is dying for a good RPG is it worth the 60 today?(just beat witcher for the second time) I also never played the expansions for Skyrim

3. If you buy a physical copy how do you download and apply the mods?

4. Which ps4 mods are best for someone who doesn't want to go to far into left field

Your skills level as you use them. You unlock talent points as you level that you can put into your skills to improve them and add abilities. Archery is one in particular that is terrible until you put skill points into it, then it's badass. You can zoom in and slow time as you shoot. I think you have to get to 50 first though. Others may be something like 20% increased potion effectiveness for alchemy.

My first character, I went all spells. Around level 20 the game got too hard. It wasn't fun. I leveled the wrong skills and the world leveled up faster.

My 2nd time around I went with my dual wield 1h + Archer combo that I always liked in Oblivion. IMO this is the most fun way to play if you just wanna kill everything that moves without thinking too much about it.

Shield + 1h and heavy armor was another character I wanted to get behind. I think I started one but never really took off with it. The shield skills are pretty good in Skyrim.

Mixing in magic is pretty important regardless of what you do. Conjuration, Destruction, and Restoration are 3 I can never do without. Not a big Alteration fan. Illusion is fun sometimes, but I usually stay away from it. Enchanting is a must have.

Sneak is fun, but I feel like it breaks the game if you get it too high.

I have a copy with the plastic still on it sitting in my office.

2H melee is fun too. I prefer 1H so you can mix in spells. I prefer Elder Scrolls melee mechanics to most games.

I'll probably buy this game again. I'm a big fan of sneak, daggers, and bows. If the enemy sees me coming, I failed.

Yeah, becoming a god is no fun.

If you want to become a god, use the elemental fury shout with 2 1h swords. If you have good enough swords (smithing/alchemy/enchanting), you will insta kill a dragon on Master difficulty. It get's old very quickly.

Yea, no kidding. The reason I play these games is to become a god.

An invisible god who strikes down his enemies without them seeing and then leading my army of super mutants with highway on-ramps for arms and hearts as black as coal.

Let me rephrase,

Becoming a god is fun, but get's old and ruins the rest of the game.

This was how I played when it came out. I became an unkillable monster. Never used stealth, just went in and fricked shite up. Healed myself when needed. Always used mace / morning star / blunt weapons.

essentially a cleric type from the traditional RPG class. 1h+shield and restoration magic. 1h, heavy armor, shield and resto magic were my main skills with smithing, enchanting and alchemy as my others.

Can someone tell me the best race for one handed melee? I've seen Orc but I'd rather be human

I used the one human race with magic resistance on my 1h/shield guy.

Redguards get the best initial one-handed skill level. They also have fairly good block and destruction to use in your off hand.
