Why are there 20 second differences on a lot of the online time trials standings?? Thwomp volcano for example goes from 1:53 to around 2:08.

Can I install games from the disc to my WiiU? As a PC gamer, i'm not used to this stone age changing of the disc practice.
Everything should be DL'ed on the system.

You can buy the games in the eshop but you only have 32gb for storage.

The definition of doom can be two fold. One definition is simply getting hit by a late red shell that means a 2nd place finish instead of 1st.
The other is more catastrophic. You get him somewhere midway through the race, falling back to 2nd, then defenseless, get hit by another item like a boomerang or fire flower, then it compounds and you get hit by so many items that you fall back in the pack and are out of the race.

Not like there are a the n of games for the system. I just want to take the physical games I have and install them digitally.
So an external SSD should fix this issue. Will look into it, thanks.
EDT: Has hardwiring the WiiU fixed Online Disconnect issues for you guys? Tried it this morning and haven't been disconnected yet, but it could be the servers having a liter load, idk.

Well this you can't do, sorry didn't know you wanted to install your games.
Just download them digitally, but still need the external.

Ive gotten my online VR to about 2500 and was just in a 12 player room full of guys whose VR was 3000+ and needless to say I got my arse kicked pretty bad.
The same 2 people won all 15 or so races I was in, both who had VRs above 5000. So anyone who says this game is luck based hasn't played in a high VR room yet
I watched all their replays on Mario Kart TV to see how they were doing it and I still don't understand how they can cut through all the bullshite items during each race and remain unscathed, especially at the beginning. There was one race on Shy Guy Falls where it looked like I was going to beat them and on the last part of the last lap one of them got a red shell that took out my defensive banana, then I got coins in an item block and it was all over from there. Ended up finishing 8th.

Same here so we went with the Wind Waker bundle, which was dumb considering how ugly the gamepad is with those gold details.
I'm going to try and join this tournament tonight. Haven't even unlocked all my characters yet and just ran one run on Special Cup.
Pretty simple racing though right?
1. 2nd Light Boost at start
2. Collect Coins
3. Hit Boxes
4. Drift for boost
5. Jump for boost

Every jump/ramp you hop for a boost and drift in turns until wheels are blue then release for a boost.
