Riot has just about perfected the dynamic queue matchmaking system, it took them a little bit and it was definitely rocky, but they got it perfected.

I know I know, cool thing is to hate on Riot/the game these days but dwi.






That's pretty fricking good IMO. Queuing up solo still has the worst win rate in dynamic queue, but I mean at 0.3% from 50/50, that's still great.

Socrates also said on the forum the goal is still to get solo queuing to the 50/50 mark and they will still do a couple more tweaks to make that happen but other than that the team is moving on from matchmaking for now.

I've gotten so accustomed to my current settings though. I don't like change

I use my two side mouse buttons for item slots 5&6 (pots at the beginning of the game, then active items later. Wards always go in slot 2.

It's really useful when fighting near/in a minion wave. Just as I used to get killed all the time by misclicking and moving (instead of attacking).... I used to also lose a lot of 1v1's because my attack move would hit a minion instead of the champion.

So... Left mouse as attack move and "A" as target champions only.... most of those issues are resolved.
Now, if I can only stop cancelling my autos.

adc has never, and will never be my main... but maybe one day I can get use to attack move... cause good lord I suck at it

That's why I play a lot of ARAM. You get to practice roles and champs that you don't play that often. Way more team fighting and skirmishing. I've found that my assassin play really sucks (except for the occasional good game on Leblanc, Nid, or Khazix).

However, my mage champion pool is actually pretty good. Zyra, Ziggs, Ori, Veigar, and Azir. Mostly just from playing them in Aram.

Eu lcs is so hard to watch. If it isn't the commentators talking about items for season 2 and whother knows what else, it's the crowd screaming Steve and doing stupid football chants.

Or you could, you know, have a queue specifically for solo play and remove that disadvantage altogether.

Nah, no need for that. Dynamic queue has been nearly perfected, playing solo puts you at 0.3% from 50/50 win rate and will end up being right at 50/50. Solo is the same as it was in the end, with the option now to play with as many friends as you want as well.

Well done in the end from Riot.

Glad they're starting to nail their changes even if a rocky start as we head into the new Client this fall and the biggest most needed change for the game overall.

Winrate is an empty stat in this argument. The whole point is that it's never going to be fair being a solo player when you are going to have games that 3/5-5/5 of the other team is going to be coordinated and have premeditated strategy and synergy. That whole aspect was nonexistent in old queue. It's the whole reason pro scouts aren't even taking into account ladder rank when scouting now. Dynamic queue has completely fricked the competitive integrity of ranked.

But you're playing with the same on your team? That part has been the same, if the other team is a team of 3 you have a team of, 4v4, etc, and that is done at like 98% accuracy now.

So no, it's the same thing as solo queue with the same win rate for being solo whether it's with all solo's or a team of 2, 3, 4.



Sorry not sorry Riot actually improved the game overall in the end.

Anywho, Riot is hosting an LCS meeting tomorrow to discuss the new changes on the PBE that will be going live for playoffs and Worlds, teams aren't happy with Riot essentially removing the lane swap and especially the timing. Riot is not discussing the timing, only the changes.

Some pretty serious changes to drop right before playoffs and Worlds.

For reference, here are the changes:

First, incentivize attacking and defending turrets. The first turret taken now grants a ‘First Blood’ reward, but turrets are now better at defending their allied champions.

New: "Turret First Blood" gold: +275 local, +25 global (400 total gold across the team)
New: Turret AI has been updated, and are better at defending allied champions (coming in 6.16)
Second, target a lane that’s ideal for fast push strategies. Bot lane’s outer turret defenses are no longer identical to the other lanes, and cannon minion spawns now rotate between lanes.

Fortification (temporary damage reduction buff on turrets) changed

Duration: 7 minutes -> 5 minutes
Damage reduction: 35% -> 50%
Fortification removed from bot lane turrets (we’re investigating a more nuanced approach to this)
Outer turret HP: 3300 -> 3500
Cannon minions now spawn differently

Each team gets one cannon minion per wave, rotating lanes.
Specifically, Bot gets a cannon minion in lane at wave 3, Mid at wave 4, and Top at wave 5. This then repeats.
Post-20 minutes, Mid has a cannon in wave 40 then both Bot and Top get one in wave 41. This then repeats.
Post-35 minutes, all lanes have cannons in each wave.


Like, damn. People fricking hate lane swaps in LCS, so Riot is doing what is needed imo, but I agree with the teams that the timing sucks right before playoffs/worlds. Should have been done a month ago.
