I understand what you're saying, however if you are trying out new champs.roles, it won't be that bad on others
and, riots system usually can adjust for those that are not new to the game. You will be placed against people near your skill very quickly.

Yeah normals mmr is different than ranked. I haven't played more than a few norms here or there since I was like plat 5 so not only is my mmr lower, but the restrictions on who you can be matched with are way less strict. I get more gold or silver lane opponents than anything in norms, but thats ok because I play norms to try new things.

If you are plat in ranked, do they somehow think you are trash in normals?
Wouldn't make sense for me as a Silver 1 to be paired with people who are level 15 just because it's a different game mode.

I just played about 18 straight ranked solo queue games in the last 24 hours. Got out of Bronze 4, now in Bronze 3.

Get pit against a plat 3 midlaner and bunch of golds, meanwhile we get a couple silvers and level 27 jihn.....LEVEL 27 in the same game as a plat.

I haven't had a single person from the opposing team in these situations offer to help when asked. In fact, they are some of the most toxic players in all chat.

You have to realize that most of these people get their self worth through stomping people in a video game. When they completely snowball, it is what is "supposed" to happen. They don't fell happy. It is expected.
When things go badly, it has to be everyone else's fault and their fragile sense of self forces them to vent and get angry.
It is supposed to be fun and about getting better. Not always trying to justify the one time you had a great game.

Not really. Improving game knowledge and mechanical skill is really the only way to improve, and you can do both playing against anyone. If you are low elo the small high elo tips you should get from streamers because plat isn't even really high elo. The mechanical skill difference is negligible between silver and plat.

This is what I've been told. It rings true sometimes, as there are games where the plat players get absolutely dumpstered.
However, when getting absolutely housed by 20-30 kills at 15-20 mins, I'm not sure what kind of learning experience is supposed to occur there.
I can practice CS'ing and solidify map awareness habits, but there's no chance to really learn much about teamfighting or placement when your entire team is getting zeroed out in 1.5 seconds.
I guess I'll just have to start writing those off. Just frustrating that those games seem to be happening more and more frequently.

I don't take issue with the players themselves (although it's pretty shitty that they act the way they do to people 2-3 tiers below them). It's the matchmaking.
Having separate MMR for normals and ranked is retarded. It'd be absolutely ridiculous for me to be Silver 1 in ranked, yet consistently playing against Bronze V and sub level 30 players bc of MMR differences in game modes.

My ranked MMR is killing me right now. I'm getting matched against with high Silver and Golds with the Occasional Plat, but I'm getting Bronzes or fresh lvl 30s on my team with the average MMR being 300 points below what OP.gg is showing for me.
What am I supposed to do? I really, really want to win this next game and get out of the shitter.

If you are being matched with high silvers and low golds it's because of one of two things:
Either your mmr is high (a good thing), and by winning you will get more local and move up
Or, their mmr is low they aren't playing how their ranking suggest. You can be gold 5 and have silver 4 mmr.

Won.... yay!! Out of shitter land. Had to hard carry myself with Zyra. People do stupid stuff constantly and it helps to have so much disengage/engage.... and the rylias for the slows for both.
