That was my thinking. It could be that they just needed a different system because the entities in place no longer existed and bottlecaps were a logical evolution.

Ya, you'd think that aluminum would be worth more than paper in that type of economy.

Just finished first play through, planning my second. Looked up all the bobblehead locations and big magazine perks. Nearly all the good stuff is in level 35-45 zones, most in 45+. At that point it's silly to need extra boosts. I beat the game at level 32 with a fair amount of side questing. I guess the dlc could be a big zone for 50+ characters but still think more of the perks should be in lower zones

You can detach a weapon mod, and reattach it to a different gun.

Read the bottom half of the last page for the details.

Yeah I find myself carrying a lot of useless weapons. I don't play a ton, only lvl 9 but last night I was clearing the Hospital near the Cambridge Police Station and ran into a Legendary Deathclaw! Luckily I found a Missile Launcher and was able to light him up with that and my auto rifle. It took me about ten tries though. I found a fusion core and a sweet Muzzled 10mm pistol! Damage is 47 on it! And now I have a ton of RAD poisoning with no RADAway.
My fatman is reserved for deathclaws and legendary/glowing mirelurks.

All of your weapon mods are stored in inventory. You can detach it at the weapons bench and attach it to another weapon as long as that type of mod is supported.

You can't just detach it, you have to replace it with another mod.

Well yeah, but I thought that was a given..my bad
I usually just turn them back to stock and scrap it if I'm putting the mod on something else

This was my thought as well. I finished at level 31 and really didn't get anything good. Restarted last week and have barely gotten into the story. Focusing on settlements and side quests this time

Intelligence makes a big difference in leveling, my 1st play I didn't finish I got about 1 level an hour up to level 25. On this play I am level 22 in about 13 hours played.

I have intelligence at 10 and idiot savant level 2,
Killed a legendary raider last night, idiot kicked in and the xp gained was 312xp.
More than quests. If you aren't using idiot savant, you are fricking up.

I've had it trigger 2 times after finishing main story quest. It feels like it happens constantly for me, but I'm Luck 10 and Int = 3

I've got two Fatman's. One of them with one mini nuke is equipped on a settler at the castle. Can't wait till he gets the chance to use it

The lower your intelligence the higher the chance it will kick in. But having your intelligence at level 10, when it does kick in the bonus is higher

Idiot savant is awesome. I have an int of 5 and it still happens all the time.
I'm so pumped about my day off tomorrow because I get to play all day.
