How many times will you repeat this like it really matters?
I like being able to swap out batteries so I don't have to stay connected to a cable while playing or quit when it's time to recharge.
I mean, if only someone would make rechargeable AA batteries then we would be set.

my WiiU controller sits in a dock that came with the console that keeps it charged... hopefully this controller has something similar

Just a suggestion, but I have rechargeable packs and I just bought an additional controller. I have never had to stop playing to allow a controller to quit. If one dies, which is very rare, then I just grab the other one off of the charging deck.

I was sitting here trying to figure out why the d pad was blurred out.

I've never had to stop either which is my point.
I hated having to constantly worry about the charge on my PS3 controllers though. I prefer swappable batteries on everything even my phone. It sucks when the batteries in something starts losing its rechargeability and you are still stuck with it because you can't swap it out.
Having to use batteries is a silly argument PS4 fanboys still use against Xbox for some reason.

Rechargeable battery packs and docking stations are available. Was this supposed to be an attempted "knock" against the Xbox?

He's mentioned it 4 or 5 times the past week.

Hmm come to think of it, that's what I love about my 360 controller I use for my PC, I keep 2 battery packs charged, use one in the controller and when it's getting low, toss the new one in and charge the other, I never have to worry about the charge.
So yeah, I guess that is better (and with the WiiU having such a big controller they have a batter that just doesn't die on you... whereas the smaller controllers might)

As long as they keep putting AA batteries in a next gen controller.
How is this acceptable? Of course I can buy something ele to make it work, but I shouldn't have to.
Love the excuses.
