I studied for A+ once


I failed my A+ (passed my net+) I got turned off to those exams really fricking quick when I started missing questions that wanted to know the exact way of doing the same task 15 different times and if you forget one, you miss the whole question.

That said, I really want to start working on my sys admin certs, I'm just lazy

I never took it, life got in the way and I never went back to it. At the time a career change made sense.

So just had my first real world use for the subnet mask map, woot

I knew it should have been /23 instead of the default /24

(as we run a /23 port setup)

Is anyone here familiar with testout? That's what I'm using right now. Its ok. They have their own certification called NetworkPro. From what I've read its roughly equivalent to Network+ but not as widely accepted so I plan on taking both tests.
