360 ruled that generation. Their transition to the xbone was a disaster, and Spencer has said as much: they were never able to overcome the errors of the messaging of that launch.

Sounds like a company whose competition has them scared. Rightfully so. Xbox hasn’t been a force since the 360. Even with that fat bank account.
If they can’t be successful then they will just buy up everything..that way nobody can be successful.
It’s like the kid at the court who brings the ball but sucks and is just gonna take his ball home after things aren’t going his way.

I’d own an Xbox if they had like 4 or 5 good exclusives. Sadly they have had nothing and assuming star field is good…it’s still not enough.

how old are you? did you ever have a 360?
that was the premiere console to have.
- private party chat separate from game chat
- better/stable internet connections for online gaming (dedicated servers vs sony's peer-to-peer connections)
- CoD's birth in popularity resulted in map pack exclusive rights (1 month before the PS3)
- the only device to play ESPN online (another exclusive feature at the time)
only thing sony had going for them was Blu-Ray and free-to-play multiplayer.
the 360 was big swingin' dick on the block that could've built on to the Xbox One platform, but microsoft definitely shot their dick off with that "always online" requirement.

PSN Online couldn't hold a candle to Xbox Live and the out of the box controller for the PS3 felt like cheap plastic. My PS3 was mainly for Netflix and MGS. I played everything else on 360.

did you order the Netflix Blu Ray disc like i did before the official downloadable app became available? you had to use the disc to stream anything originally.

I remember getting a netflix physical disc maybe a handful of times. I don't recall when the PS3 got the app but I know the 360 netflix interface was pretty crappy but the PS3 interface was pretty smooth, hence it became a streaming console for me.

RRoD didn't help things either, with that said I think I had a total of 4 Xbox 360s.

This was true from about 06-09
From 10-13, the playing field was more level. The PS3 actually ended up outselling the 360.

PS3 was a better seller everywhere outside of North America. Really big in Europe and Japan
I had one friend that had a PS3 and everyone else I knew had a 360. MS dominated the NA a market

i think it was also a PS+ Premium Day One as well.
but it's a sony studio that makes that game. kinda surprised sony allowed that to happen.
