And even then the Xbone is still behind the PS4.

Yes true, the XBONE is behind barely 300 cores, which isn't going to make that much of a difference in low resolution 1080p games.

The seperation is purely memory speed and bandwidth. Yes the fewer cores did not help, but the speed/bandwidth killed the XBONE.

Your console exclusive, inFAMOUS is only 30fps

Let's give the consoles longer than 2 months before we start knocking them.

While I agree with this:

This is expected for any open world game on these consoles, whether it is for Xbone or PS4.

Dead Rising 3 averages 25FPS. CoD Ghosts couldn't run 1080p/60fps on the one so they had to turn it down to 720p to run 60fps while the PS4 had zero problems running it at 1080p/60FPS.

Same with Tomb Raider that just came out, 30FPS on the One and 60FPS on the PS4, and reports lately are saying the same for Watch Dogs. Battlefield 4 runs at a higher resolution and 60FPS than the One as well.

None of them should be knocked on ATM.

IMO each is starting to pan out and excel in different areas which is great for the consumer. We can chose a console based on our needs.

It's closer to 400 than 300, 768 vs 1152 but yeah I know what you're saying to an extent.

Trust me. I have both. And yeah saying "Xbox volume up" and "Xbox pause" and "Xbox mute" sounds great. But when it fails 1/4 of the time to respond at all after 4 repeated statements you see what it really is. A gimmick. An incomplete unfinished tech

Have you actually calibrated the damn thing? Mine works 99% of the time.

Normally I would agree, however the pre-launch pr spin period was so bad for MS and the Xbox that it might have damaged the console's long term perception.

Xbox 1 started as a steam copycat. Then not, then a slight backtrack.

All MS had to do was give a 'vision' of what copying steam features would do for the user. Instead we got spin and backtracks and a glimpse into a hell of design by committee, and that view sucked.

So yeah, I have 0.00 respect or trust in Microsoft to actually salvage this generation. Might as well call it Vista the console due to the pr debacles around both.

Not to say the Sony people are "better", but definitely screwed up less than MS.

isn't that a good description for an executive?

Sounds like you need a new Kinnect. The absolute only issue I have with mine is every now and then it takes a few tries for "Xbox on"
After that everything runs smoothly(and even then,I learned that half the time it wasn't turning on due to the way I have it positioned and I was out of view of the Kinnect).

What the hell do you have to say to turn it off? Xbox on works fine for me, no idea the command to get it off though, or mine just doesn't work when I do.

Xbox off, Xbox Turn off, Yes None of it works.

So pure visual processing wins again over pushing other innovations?

No one wins.

While I do think innovation is key, it is very debatable whether Kinect is a worthwhile innovation.

Nope, sure don't think you do.

The consoles don't have the extra eye candy to use those cores always. XBONE falls so short because of speed/bandwidth of memory.

Since it is making the company producing said console money, it does matter and I do care.

At the same time they are both selling fine.

Lets compare the UK, Germany, Australia etc all places Xbone came out before PS4. That whole America counts stance is BS b/c in the end run its all about selling as much as they can.
