This game looks incredible.
I wonder what Kojima does after this game? My feeling it that he was ready to end the MGS series and Konami wants to milk the franchise.

Just preordered digitally on my xbone.
I'm pumped about this game. Hopefully big boss has a legit fall from grace and doesn't go the whole misunderstood hero route.

FOB invasion looks amazing. It seems analogous to Big Boss defending Outer Heaven from Solid Snake. This scope of this game is unbelievable. Might even surpass TW3 in sheer events/missions to do.

FYI, there are some Collector's Editions available for pre-order through Gamestop right now. They've become incredibly difficult to find outside of eBay.

watched a FOB clip on youtube. definitely has a dark souls-ish invasion quality to it.

You know that Konami and Kojima got a cease and desist notice in 2005 regarding the Metal Gear Solid Theme?
It appeared that much of the theme was copied from the theme of an obscure Russian sitcom that had been long-since cancelled, but the copyright was still valid.
That's why the theme changed noticeably from MGS3 to MGS4.

Yeah, I knew they stopped using it for that reason. I didn't realize they actually got a cease and desist for it, though.

I don't know if it was directly copied, but the basic tune was judged to be too similar.
In fact, they delivered the notice in person (I think there's a youtube video detailing it).
The "Intrusion" theme sounded very similar to the theme from the movie Speed, but wasn't deemed close enough to merit a cease and desist.

Uppercut right in the feels. I'll never forget playing MGS2 as a kid and hearing that theme for the first time. I would watch through it and let it start over and crank the volume way up and my parents would get so pissed
