Thanks. After watching the latest promo/trailer I am now sold on getting the PS4 for this game. Will probably wait till Thanksgiving just in case any kind of good deals are available.

Ha, I was just at GameStop today because I was bored. The guy in the store was the manager and we were BSing about some games including TPP. Asked him about your question regarding a PS4 MGSV set and he said he hadn't heard anything, but knew of a Star Wars bundle for the holidays. He also offered me a job since I told him I had just retired. I did an interview then and there and got hired. Yep, I'm happy I'm a video game salesman, heh. Should be fun.

I've been watching lore videos in my free time and it's making me all nostalgic. im going to fire up legacy collection and try and finish before TPP. I planned to do it earlier and went through 3 and started peace walker, but i just could not get into it. ill probably skip it and play 1, 2, and 4

I'm in my prime! Heh, I retired after 22 years in the service. I could sit on my arse, but I'm not rich...just have everything paid off. The idea of doing that is not appealing, though. I like gaming and this sounds like it'll be fun.
Good luck on your play throughs! Only Solid game I didn't like was 4. I just can't bring myself to sit through the 8 hours of cut scenes. Loved PW, but can understand those that don't. Kinda surreal the series under Kojima is coming to an end.
I've been playing through the music of the series. It's one of the best parts...the Best is Yet to Come, MGS2 Theme, Snake Eater, Calling to the Night, Heaven's Divide, and Sins of the Father are all pretty amazing songs for a video game.

I've been wanting to do the same thing. Bought the Legacy collection about a year ago and haven't even opened it yet.
Definitely need to play Peace Walker before TPP. Is it really that different, hard to get into?

Yeah it sucks. The missions were short and not very fun, the characters weren't interesting, and the cutscenes are like comic book stills with voice overs. I thought it was terrible but lots of people love it. It's pretty divisive

Well I'll just have to push through it. PW is the only Metal Gear game I haven't played and I want to be able to say that I've beat them all.

I went to Gamestop (vomit sound) and got mgs4 for $5. I'll try and plow through it before next week.

I have the Collector's Edition inbound...will be here tomorrow. However, I can't wait so I'll be at GameStop for the midnight release (9pm my time).
I need Big Boss, Ocelot, Kaz, Eli, Skullface, and Quiet in my life today.
That said, I've very sparingly been on any message boards the past week and that will continue until I complete the game. Maybe I'll chat with you all in a non-spoiler thread or something, but usually someone trolls it. Anyways, enjoy the game. 95 rating on Metacritic so far.

it does seem small but it's highly optimized code im sure.
I have to wait til friday to pick it up because I had to move this weekend and had more expenses that I first thought. I will be avoiding this board entirely.
