the games I mentioned from the last generation, those are perfect games...I love the superman, batman, final fight beat em ups, but they don't hold a candle to those ps3 games I just listed.

anyway, my contention is that the n64 is video game nirvana if you were a certain age in the mid to late 90s

And this thread makes it clear again, the SNES is the greatest console of all time.
I agree with you but I could see a case being made for the Playstation 2.

Resident Evil 4
GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas
Metal Gear Solid 2 & 3
Ico
Shadow of the Colossus
Okami
Devil May Cry 1 & 3
Viewtiful Joe
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
Psychonaughts
Beyond Good & Evil
Katamari Damacy
Silent Hill 2
Gradius V
Guitar Hero

A lot of gameplay variety and genre creating / defining games on that system.

I agree on this. PS2 would certainly slot second, along with the N64. I'm down with that console too.

Any console with Space Station Silicon Valley and Hybrid Heaven can challenge for GOAT.

Ps2 titles have not aged well visually IMO.'the first system to go for hyper realism was bound to do that

all 3 of the Donkey Kong Country games. DKC 2 is my favorite game of all time.

Literally impossible to play on a phone emulator in my opinion. You need a controller.

Also, no love for Illusion of Gaia in here?

I wore that cartridge out. Along with Link to the past, Super Mario, and all of the Donkey Kongs.

Nintendo has been making timeless ageless classics for decades.

I think a lot of them have aged surprisingly well when you bump up the resolution to 1080p via HD Remasters or emulation.

Loved that game, along with Aladdin, Goof troop, and Toy Story. Disney games seemed better on the old consoles, not so much on the new gens though.
