No, the real crime is that it wasn't released on the PC as well.
Don't worry, you'll be able to play it in a few years.

Was finally able to pick this up after snagging a PS5 and all I have to say is WOW. I've only completed the first mission at the Data Center and just got back to Meridian, but from what I can tell this one will be every bit as good as the original. I forgot how amazing HZD was visually and this one improves upon that from what I can tell. I've avoided all spoilers to this point so I can't wait!

Not sure how Cent meant it, but I would echo that the crime was not releasing on PC for a very specific reason: it meant reviews for HFW got utterly drowned out. I remember early on, people mocking HFW for how few people were playing it compared to ER. Releasing a AAA PS exclusive at the same time that a AAA all-platform game gets released is a recipe for disaster.

I've been stalling to start the final quest. I just don't want it to end. I'm pretty much done with side quests and errands too. I'm just running around harvesting parts to upgrade stuff now.

i started up the first one a few weeks ago and have been absolutely addicted. im talking 12 hour gaming sessions which i havent done since witcher 3. im 5 years late to the party but what an amazing game. im about 70% done, only have 2 corruption zones left, 3 hunting trials, 1 cauldron, 3 metal flowers, and 1 vantage point left as far as side stuff go. then i can blaze through the main story. im at level 43 and my main story level is 18 been doing nothing but side stuff and exploring 54 hours in

HZD is in my top 5 all time.
I have been playing Forbidden West for a couple of months now (i dont get a lot of gaming time ) is really really good, too. I find the story a bit less grabbing than the first, but it is good and the gameplay is still stellar.

Anytime the first game of a series is built around the player not knowing the details of their circumstances, follow up games are almost never going to be able to capture the story magic of the first. I try to always keep that in mind so I don't end up disappointed

I finished the story last week with 85% trophies collected. I loved it, though I did skip through a lot of dialogue near the end.
I was so impossibly over leveled at the end of the game I killed the last boss with 6 spike thrower shots.
Waiting for DLC and NG÷ to get back in

A little bump action after diving into this bad boy this last month.
For those of you that 100%’d this game how long did it take you? I’m at 40 hours and am only showing 30% completion which makes it way bigger/longer than the first one. I 100%’d the first one right at 70 hours
Really enjoying this game. Playing on hard and I feel like it’s a lot more challenging than hard was on HZD. The stuff I was doing on HZD dosent work in this one. I went through most of HZD just spamming the blast sling. I’ve probably died more times 40 hours in on this one than I did the whole playthrough of HZD. They also put a limit on how many traps and trip wires you can place at once and nerfed the spear. It’s also obvious they heard the complaints on human-human combat as they’ve made it much better. Helmets on the tribesman makes it harder to clear out camps and outposts as you can’t just headshot everybody from 100 yards away anymore. Also loving all the “relic ruins” and how they essentially made them all puzzles on national landmarks instead of just climbing up to the relic. Speaking of climbing, MUCH better this time around. It’s a lot less frustrating since you can scan and see what you can actually climb instead of jumping around trying to grab at ledges like HZD
The new skill trees are almost a bit overwhelming with all the “limit breaks” and special moves you can learn. Feel like I always forget about everything I can do. My only complaint so far is how long it’s taking to get the ability to clear “broken paths”. I’ve been coming across them since the very start of the game and can’t do shite about them so now when I finally get the ability I’m going to have to back track like a motherfricker to clear all of them. Just annoying how games put shite early in the game that you can’t frick with until later in the game. I’ll go way out of my way to clear a “?” Just to find its another broken path I can’t do anything with

PC release rumored for within a month from a very reputable source.
quote:
According to our latest information, the Playstation exclusive that will be released on PC is none other than Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition. The game will be available as usual on Steam and Epic Games Store.
Unfortunately, we still haven't managed to recover the game's release date. But based on our data collected in the past, its release should be imminent, which is estimated to be less than a month from today.
